Beautiful view of the water

Very heavily used. Too close to roar of traffic. If you want to see wildlife early mornings or evenings are best but you have to get away from the beaten path. Primarily an exercise loop.

Extremely peaceful and beautiful. Worth it always.

This hike is not kid friendly as the boards are falling apart in most areas. I was walking with my 3 month old in a carrier and I almost tripped quite a few times. I would not recommend it for children or strollers or new mommas who are trying to get out of the house for a little walk. Otherwise it’s good for dogs and serene little walk with your partner.

Good spot for a leisurely walk with a friend (wide Dyke) along the bay. Good for photographing birds swine dung on the year . Easy and fist route

Love this one because it’s just a block away from him. We take my parents dog for a walk there all the time. You have the option of a short walk around burns bog, a long one or a straight one. Make sure to check out the website for the trails.

Amazing for a stroll. It’s not a real backpacking type hike, however is great for a dog walk. Takes us about 30-80 minutes to walk around the little island

It's good for running, or walking,, but I wouldn't call it a scenic hike.. It's an unpaved wide road along the seashore, that's it

We come here a lot with the kids for bike riding, very safe, no cars and very flat, comfortable ride for all ages. Always a nice breeze from Ocean and you can always stop and pick some berries :)

Very awkward location but worth the stress of getting there lol. Don't pay heed to google maps. Check the actual burns Bog society website for proper directions. Easily transit accessible from the 312 bus route. Just walk down the hill along 72 ave on the right hand side until you see the sidewalk that goes down to the trail off the overpass. It's a little tricky to figure out the first time.

The boardwalk through the bog is great, but if you have little kids, look out for people on bikes. The microclimates are pretty cool as it moves from wet bog to drier conifer forest. The biology/geology of the big is also cool - read about it before your walk. Don't trust Google Maps to bring you to the right place, it put us about 2km down the road in a residential area. Another downside is that you never really get away from the highway noise. The day we went, a Saturday, there were barely any people on the bog itself although there were plenty of folks out walking their dogs on the side trails.

Great family walk, can be a bit wet in the winter but nice and quiet and shady in the summer
