Trail steep all the way through and rocky, so watch your step. Great view of Shawnigan lake and Swartz Bay.

Went up today and the swing is broken. one support knot came untied when a girl was on it. If someone reties the knots please be careful when using it. She was pretty banged up.

Amazing views and decently easy if you can make it up the insane incline at the beginning. I was huffing and puffing going up and I am in ok shape. Right at the beginning, we were stopped by 2 bear cubs climbing a tree and got a bit freaked but just continued. Worth it. Be prepared though - thicker forest than your average hike.

Short moderate trail. Steep in the first half, rocky and a bit tricky in the final half. Awesome views on top. Don't miss the swing!

Neat trail, all gravel path but too many people.

This hike is perfect for so many occasions. It can be as long or as short as you want, it's fantastic for children and the elderly since its flat but also beautiful and fascinating to see the trestle. You can go down to the bottom of the trestle and adventure around the river or you can follow the flat trail for hours if you're feeling up to it. They have bathrooms available at the trail head. I believe a new gluten free friendly bakery also opened up down the road from the hike. Always great to support local after a lovely little jaunt!

Challenging hike, quite steep for the first Kilometer. The trail isn’t well marked so it’s easy to go off course. There’s also limited shade so it can get hot. However the views makes it worthwhile.

Beautiful short little hike. Easy and all flat. There’s a lot of traffic but the trail is very wide. There are stops around the trestle you can have lunch. There are trails all around so that you can get a view of the trestle at different angles(: enjoy!

Beautiful walk and accessible for all! They’ve restored the trestle beautifully ... dogs welcome but MUST be leashed ... a must do for a quick walk

Slight downhill grade north, downstream.

Easy, flat out and back to the trestle. Well maintained, interesting history of the impressive trestle. Lots of people with dogs. Glad we did it.

Main trail to is well groomed . Side trails should be better marked. Maybe graded hard ,moderate , easy with a better map on main sign.post

Super steep at the beginning but push through, it is totally worth it!!

Starts out very steep on an fsr, once you get to the cell phone tower it turns into a great climb with awesome views. The views from the top of the summit and the swing are spectacular and worth every step.

Totally worth the hike! Amazing views on top!

Parking at the first gate makes for an easier hike up; it’s a steady incline but on an off road track rather than a hiking trail. Spectacular 360 views from the top, and a swing as well!
