Sweet mountain bike trail! Has some good little chutes and lots of fun.
Not a hiking trail, some pretty fast sections on the bikes so if you are going to chance it keep your eyes and ears open a d be ready to hop off the trail.

This was a disappointing hike. Try the other side of park--Dennett Lake way. Its any easier hike and can be done early in the year though, but nicer hikes in this park can be found. Dog friendly, nice waterfalls along route.

A good one to do on a hot day. Did this hike in early August 2018. It was 30-plus degrees out, but the trail was shaded throughout. The 600m elevation gain is steady and gradual. The only steep section is the last 5 minutes to the lookout (see photo). Better signage is needed at first to get you onto the right trail from the road. After that, signage (“new route”) is adequate. I wore trail runners which easily handled the first half (rocky, zoom in on the photo) and the second (beautiful soft springy trail). We did this at a consistent moderate pace as an out-and-back in 4:20 excluding a break at the view, rather than looping to include Sawblade Falls. It would make a great run as well. Saw nobody else on the trail (a Tuesday). The creeks and falls were very low, but enough for the dog to have a drink.

This is really a trial for mountain biking. Several kilos up a narrow gravel road. The forested area is really for downhill mountain biking. The trial was dry with lots of loose rocks. Walking poles a very good idea.

Made it to Dennet peak (South Burke peak) today but turned back before the North peak due to heat. Not a well travelled trail. Markers ok but just flagging tape. Bugs crazy a times and a bit over grown. Attempted to get to Dennet Lake but Trail was hardly travelled and difficult to follow.

It’s one of the best trails in BC. We hiked during weekend, not too much crowded and easily find a parking spot. High Knoll is definitely a great view. I highly recommended this trails including beginners, it’s fun and challenging

We tried to do this hike last Saturday (April 21). It is a nice hike which goes up to the mountain. Unfortunately, in this park, trails are not very well marked so we bought the book "Burke and Widgeon a hiker guide" which has a super detailed description of each trail. Almost all time we walked in a water from streams and 3-4 times you need to cross a bigger creeks. A spare pair of socks was handy. Make sure your shoes are waterproof too. Unfortunately, we did not finish the journey. The last river to cross was too deep and the current is too swift. So we will come back later after snow melts. We did a loop to come back to the parking lot. Entire trip was 4 hours, 10 km with about 400 m elevation gain.

It's not a hard trail with mountain biking path, but we only finished 2/3 and then gave up because there are many signs writing "Darger! Active shooting range". We were afraid of being shot...

Nice easy access road with numerous trails branching off.
