Nice hike when the clouds are too low for viewpoints. This trail is on the lower end of Moderate closer to easy. The trail is pretty well marked and if you have Alltrails ap with you its really not that complicated. There were markers big signs saying falls this way etc. So not sure if this is new, but we found it pretty easy to navigate and only checked Alltrails maps a few times. Falls are beautiful and if it was hot ( not today) some nice none dangerous pools to cool off in.

Beautiful place , easy for beginners !

Overall good trail, some areas could have been marked better. It can be difficult I’m certain areas of up hills and down hills but overall not a super challenging trail. Good for a nice hike !

Beautiful and if you go to the falls the scenery is great.

low elevation easy trail. but a great summer trail with the river to cool off in.
the falls have a pool below it if you feel courageous enough to jump in.

Nice little hike through the woods. No markers what so ever and tons of side trails, so bring your Alltrails for the GPS map! Nice little view at top!

terrain is boring/urban BUT lake is stocked with fish and so in addition to ducks there are often cormorants and sometimes an eagle or two so that makes it a go to place when you just must find a bird or two

Only downside to me was the bugs in the summer cause it's a swamp.

Loved the hike, does fall into the hard category for couple of steep and rocky spots. Beautiful view from the top, don’t miss it. A bit confusing to keep track of the whole loop, got lost a couple of times but nothing too bad.

The reviews explaining the lack of signage are correct - bring a GPS or AllTrails map with you! You must go through the first yellow gate up the hydro service road from parking on the main road and then take a left through a second yellow gate up more service road to reach the true (marked) trailhead. Otherwise you will be on the mountain bike trails which can be dangerous!

Hikers have made signage indicating Lower Loop and Upper Loop. These are the same trail just clockwise or counterclockwise. I saw no real difference in difficulty doing it either way and there are blue trail markers on the trees at this point which mark the trail well.

Other reviews mention the falls. This is an offshoot trail - not part of the Woodland Walks as shown in the All Trails map. We didn’t trust to follow signage without the GPS map so chose to stick to WW Trail.

This trail is not very crowded, and with berries and streams close to the trail - bring your bear bells and keep you dogs leashed! All in all a very quiet and tranquil jaunt through the woods.

We did this trail early in the morning and it was still busy. It was a nice walk although there were lots of puddles and the trail was narrow through a few stretches. When we got at the falls it was super busy. No way you could take a picture without having strangers in the background. lol
I would do this again in a few years maybe.

This is an easy short afternoon hike. I spent less than 2 hours plus small breaks at the two lookouts. Please wear closed-toe shoes coz some part of the trail is fully covered with roots and rocks. When you are leaving the low and high knoll lookout, just follow the same route you get up there. Have a lot of spaces for parking on gravel road.

Good exercise and I’ll do it again, but it feels wrong to hike up such a plain ugly hill when there are beautiful mountains and forests nearby. Convenient, quick and dirty though, sometimes that’s what you’re looking for.

This is not a safe trail and poorly marked makes it very dangerous and easy to be lost

Good shape trail. Not very well marked, but good experience

Great Hike for kids.

We enjoyed this moderate hike. There are a lot of signs warning you about bears in the area. We did see some scat on the trail but no bears. Nice expansive view from second knoll. Good spot to enjoy a snack and soak up some sun before the descent.

If you want to climb stairs to stay in shape, this is the place to do it, otherwise meh...

If your looking for something really easy this ones for you!

It’s nice cause it’s really shady, and right beside the bustling river

The Fall is a bit small but a waterfall none the less

I went it early July and it was still really muddy

Keep your dogs on leash at the top of the falls, mine went to the top and she slipped and slid all the way down... luckily she didn’t get hurt

If your looking for a nice easy hike this ones for you

But if your looking for something more challenging you will want to look at other trials in the area

Let’s be honest, this is a nature walk, not a hike but the waterfall reward makes it worth checking out for the veteran hikers. Parking was hard to come by on this holiday Monday and the trail was quite busy. There were loads of people in flip flops and although the trail was very muddy, they did just fine. The falls themselves are pretty but way too many people for my liking to visit on a weekend. I’ll stick to the more challenging hikes to thin out the herd.

short good hike. I like to start from Oxford st rather than Shaughnessy st.

Hiked today, June 28/18. The first 15 mins the trail was boring but then it really picks up with awesome terrain and elevation. The views are great once you reach the upper knoll. The hike back down through low knolls was awesome. I’d visit again.

June 24, 2018- Perfect hike for us as it’s a slight steady incline and only steep in a few areas, especially as you get to the top. This allows you to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful greenery. Moderate in distance and incline. Didn’t seem too busy for a Sunday but the parking lot was almost packed when we got there at 10:30am. My friend wore runners and was fine. Don’t need poles. Well placed markers for us casual hikers were helpful. Twice people told us they saw a bear, and once we had to turn back and go around, but we didn’t come across any ourselves. Didn’t get bitten by bugs and mostly covered so you shouldn’t burn. The view is so worth it! Lots of space to sit and have a bite. Most enjoyable hike. Will definitely do it again : )

This trail has become a weekly routine!! My new fave!

Great off leash area for my dogs. Good socialising with other dogs.

Great work out and view!!!

Slight inclines, but nothing too strenuous. The most difficult thing is that there are bears and cougars in the area. There was a bear on the path on our way back to the parking lot. Read up on black bears and expect that you will see one on this park.

Nice river access for dogs. A little muddy. Easily accessible. Can be crowded on a weekend.

The only way to do this loop is clockwise as there’s a pretty steep climb between the falls. Do it the other way and you can only slide/fall down to keep with the trail. The trail is very well marked in my opinion. Would recommend wearing long pants. It can be a bit bushy in some places
