Astounding foliage. Lichens on massive trees provide a lush canopy with vistas over hilly terrain.

The path had minimal wear, no root ruts and also was not incredibly crowded. We hiked around 3pm on a Thursday, and though the 'parking lot' was full, there were only a few folks on the trails themselves.

At the beach we could see sea lions bobbing their heads and could hear spectacular bird calls that are (probably) unique to ocean fowl.

This was as amazing as anything we found in Banff and on par with nearby Cathedral Grove.

Fantastic! Picked this hike because we got an Airbnb at Mount Washington and it was close by. Got really lucky because this was beautiful! Not too challenging though and absolutely breathtaking. Got to come back and see the area around it someday. The ridge above Moat Lake is beckoning.

Great hike during the summer months, still quite a bit of snow when I went (mid June) so that's something to be mindful of. I imagine once the weather is hot for longer the snow will melt.

Nice easy trail, can be busy at times though.

The trail as depicted on this route is pretty blah. Easy to get lost on, poorly marked. Much better route is to connect the Bear Bait, Nymph Falls, and River Trail on the north side of the river. Much more scenic and better marked.

Awsome loop, perfect for trail running. We started at the parking slot and went on the right trail for the loop. We prolong the loop at lake kwai and went to the canyon lookout (totally worthy the additional km). It's a out and back trail with beautyfull landscape and amazing view at the lookout. We finished the loop from lake kwai. Distance: 20 k / time: 3.00 h in a easy running pace.

Took my kids and their friends (10-12 years old) mountain biking from the falls to comox dam and back. It was a couple hours well spent with a swim at both ends

Awesome spot to escape the rain from comox often need 4x4 to make the last 1/2 km in the winter or a set of chains. take the family sledding for the day in the snow. Rain at sea level is normally snow there in the winter.
Bring some fire wood or a portable BBQ, all kinds of sledding stuff and spend the day outdoor with the family. Promise of a great night sleep after

Smooth trail that takes you from the city to the lake. Slight elevation gains and smooth track the whole way make it an enjoyable ride for any skill level.

Good bunch of trails to ride with a beginner. There are some slight technical spots, but it's mostly your choice to hit them. Trails lead to across the road from seal bay park.
