This hike was amazing! Definitely a challenge, but the reward was well with the effort. would love to go back and climb it again.

Road in and trail itself are in great shape. Beautiful view

A workout not my favourite place but wonderful views

A workout not my favourite place but wonderful views

nice trip to the top of a mountain. knock that off my bucket list.

Lots of logs to climb over and under. I didn’t get far, as I found a few bears that were sending me a clear signal to gtfo. The few Km I did do were a lot of fun. I would try it again.

Great trail, I really enjoyed this hike. It was so beautiful in spite of rainy weather, and the trail itself absorbed the water so there weren’t a lot of muddy or slippery areas other than a few roots or rocks. I had my dog with me as well and the forest floor of the trail was easy on his paws. Getting to the trailhead from Alexander road was a bit confusing so if you start from there and work your way up to the hot springs you’ll want to turn right up the mountain road when you see Heppner Rd on the left off of Alexander Rd, there will be a sign or two to keep you on track until you get to an ambiguous sign that just says trail with an arrow that doesn’t definitively point right or left but you’ll want to turn left up the one way drive...yes it looks a bit sketchy but I promise you can turn around or park at the top close to the trailhead. I highly recommend this hike but like the signs say be bear and cougar aware. The trail is also only 8.5 km out, 17 if you go out and back.

What a beautiful hike. Easy to follow trail and stunning scenery. The trail is wet right now but nothing a hiking boot can’t handle. The house on top is full of information and a nice place for a snack The trailhead says the hike is 5.3km. My watch said 6.5 km. Also to note. The Ferry closes down daily from 12:05 to 2:15pm. So plan your trip around this.

Excellent hike. Went with my sister and my friend. Up and down took 5 hours. The weather was perfect, sunny for much of the day, but got a bit of rain and even some light hail but it was actually nice to get a cool off. Some snow to hike through at the top but totally manageable in hiking shoes. The fire look out is very cool.

Is it possible to ask permission from the property owners?

St Leon Hot Springs is a privately owned spring on private property. As with any private property, if you are there you are trespassing and subject to arrest. The RCMP (police) patrol the area regularly.

This was an awesome hike despite the smoke in the air from all the recent fires. BIG thank you to whoever cut through the blown over trees to open up the path for us! Great view from the top. I would recommend this hike. There are several hot springs nearby too, if you'd like a nice soak afterward. :)

It was amazing enjoyed the hot springs when I was down there this month

This hike is certainly challenging and not for the faint of heart. A severe wind storm a few weeks ago knocked many trees down over the path, and it requires a lot of venturing off trail. The road to the trail head is clear but quite over grown. There was very little snow, and the view was definitely worth the extra effort!

Trail is easy to follow.
