Nice hike, but don’t bother if it’s high tide as you can’t walk out on the shore line

Completed this hike on a rainy day and started the recording right from Poet’s Cove. Nice views of Greenburn Lake. We enjoyed seeing the beaver lodge and checking out all the gnawed trees in the area. South side of the trail was fairly easy. The North side was very rocky and slippery on a wet day. It would be nice to have this part of the trail tagged with tree markers to increase confidence one is in the right spot!

Beautiful hike. Loved it. Great rocky beach at the end. Challenging at times and quite steep in areas.

Nice trip. Took us 90 minutes. I was with my husband and four year old. The north side of the lake is super rocky, steep and narrow. Made me a little nervous as a mom, but the preschooler held our hands and listened well so we were ok. The trail was a little unkept and you have to avoid some down trees. There was no one in sight and lots of birds.

Great little hike. Did it with my husband and four year old. There is a section that is very steep and narrow.. which made this mama feel nervous with my young son. But he listened well and held our hand. Two swimming access points... very nice lake

Awesome short hike! Did it with my husband and four year old. Steep incline and cliffs... and very short with a beautiful view.

Beautiful views off the unmarked SE paths (still on public property). Marked loop is short and viewless.

scramble

Lovely trail through mixed flora, with the option of a scramble down to a small beach containing an oyster bed, crabs, and other marine wildlife. Bike racks at one of the trail head make it a great bike hike outing. If you avoid the trail down to the beach this would be quite suitable for families with small children.

This was a great family hike with a stop at Skull Is beach for a picnic lunch and a swim. Recommended for a short (and at the beginning and end) challenging hike with a scramble section.

Nice little trail with some unaddressed blow down. Limited access to the lake. Steep narrow path at SE end.

Moderate to easy trail with a very rewarding view after only a 45 minute hike to the top. Trail starts off somewhat steep but around the halfway point turns into a fairly easy trail where you can see Deer along the way!

Spectacular view on arrival which alone is worth the trip! The whole way to the finish is in the undergrowth to cool ... the beginning of the path is a bit steep until the junction with Grace trail, then it's quite easy and the arrival leaves speechless. Definitely to do!

Good intermediate hike. Somewhat steep on the first half of the trail but manageable. Second half easier ascent. Took us about 45 minutes to reach the top. The view is amazing. Most of the trail is well groomed and easy to follow.

Was really impressed with how well-maintained and well-marked the trail was. The beginning is definitely the toughest part - once you get past the first half, the rest of the hike is quite easy, and the view at the top was absolutely breathtaking.

Absolutely gorgeous trail along the coastline of South Pender Island. Many beautiful photo ops. We were there on August long weekend and the trail traffic was moderate. The trailhead area was a little busy but that's because it shares a starting point with the Mt. Norman Trail. The Beaumont Trail is a little hilly in spots with a couple of steep, short climbs. You can camp near the end and there is an compost outhouse at the very end. I will definitely be doing this hike again the next time I'm on Pender.

Absolutely stunning views at the top.

First half of the hike is a constant uphill, but nothing too crazy. The view at the top is spectacular. Defiantly worth the effort!

Went up for landscape photography and was not disappointed by the views. The hike was steep in a few areas. It was probably easier because I stopped to set up my gear at every viewpoint I could find. I continued past the trail to reach the peak. The trail I took was clearly labelled, warning that it was not maintained, and to proceed with caution. It was no worse off than the rest of the trail when I went, so that is a bonus. Will definitely be going back.

Nice views at the top. Elevation is quick but not too tough. Once you get up and down the Lower Trail loop is a nice cool down before heading back to the parking lot.
