Rocky View County, Alberta Map

Forested trail, easy hiking path. Shade was good for the dogs on a warm afternoon.

Good for a easier hike, great on a hot day... a good one for younger kids... couple trees down

Great little hike in the woods, with pine and spruce needles underfoot, wildflowers, and two ponds. We appreciated the forest canopy on a 27c day. Wildflowers were everywhere, and some good bird sightings near the ponds. As a bonus, eating our picnic meal at a table by the river (next to the parking lot). Great late afternoon/early evening escape from the city. Just 1/2 hour drive!

Lots of switchbacks, very pretty and peaceful about 1k in when the traffic noise is gone. Quiet trail for a Sunday. Great hike close to the city.
