Easy access .. small falls if you want to take a break from driving.

Shortie but a goodie. Worthwhile stop if you’re driving on Icefields Parkway.

Very easy hike with some very amazing views! We stopped at this hike in the morning and it was so refreshing! Easy hike to use as a warm up before heading to the motel challenging ones!

I loved everything about this little hike! Not overrun with tourists and the views are simply breathtaking. Words and photos don’t do it justice!

This is a nice hike with numerous waterfalls leading to Stanley Falls. The trailhead sign says that the trail is not maintained by Parks Canada and to be aware of steep cliffs and use caution. I was a bit hesitant after reading the signage, but there was nothing to be nervous about as long as you don’t get too close to the cliffs. Just use common sense. When you head on the trail, you will follow along Beauty Creek initially. There is a paved section of trail that does not indicate whether to go left or right to continue to Stanley Falls. Go right. At the end of the paved section, you will head into a forested area and start to hike along the river leading up to Stanley Falls. The trail is not difficult to follow, but watch where you are walking as there are many roots and objects that you can trip on. At the end is a sign indicating that you have reached Stanley Falls. If you continue past the falls, there is a sign saying wilderness route. I didn’t venture past. Nice, relatively easy hike - good stop if you love waterfalls.

Most people only see the upper falls which are a very short walk from the parking area. The lower falls are also very beautiful and worth a visit. The trail to the lower Sunwapta Falls is not particularly scenic until you approach the end as it does not provide views of the river. It can be a bit steep in certain places as well.

This hike was one of my favorites! We came here in early September. Great weather for hiking. No crowds here and the waterfalls in the canyon were gorgeous. Don’t miss out on this trail!!!

Very easy. Awesome view!

Very easy but beautiful

Stopped by and did a quick walk due to it raining and being chilly. Very nice falls!

Along the Icefields Parkway near the Jasper NP Visitor Center. Walk on a real glacier. Rock and dirt path to where you step onto the glacier and can walk up several hundred yards; stay within the roped area for safety; we were pelted with sleet coming down the glacier in early July but still was a "cool" experience on an otherwise hot day.

This is my second time doing this hike and it is a favourite!! This hike has a little bit of everything - waterfalls, meadows, and an amazing view at the top. The climb to the meadows is steep switchbacks for just over 4 km the meadow is almost another 4 km. The app (if you follow the map) doesn’t take you all the way up to the viewpoint of Pinto lake so expect some more climbing if you want the amazing views. The hike to the viewpoint and back is more than 16km. But it is so worth it. Was going to hike down to Pinto lake but this was mine and my daughters first backpacking trip ever and she was just a little too tired by the time we hit the viewpoint to add another 5.5km down to the lake. So, next time for sure!!

Amazing views of the ice field. A chance to see goats or sheep. Awesome effort to reward ratio here! dogs ok, bring a lunch 4-5 hour hike.

there was lots of groups going up and down children and seniors. think twice if you have bad knees as the decent is steep. stay on trail during the switch backs as our son was doing the cut across but the trail drifts left. Thank the Lord he found the path. Was a piece of hidden beauty at the top. So glad we stay in shape. Parking is great for cars and 1 to 2 truck with campers. Camp ground and a hostel south by 8km.

Great hike with kids. They loved being close to a glacier

Arrived late afternoon, not many people were around, and most of those who were didn't bother going down to the lower falls section. Would probably be very busy during the day. Nice and easy walk, good for a stop off while driving the highway.

gives you a crazy perspective of climate change

An underrated hike in my opinion. Beautiful falls and you can walk right up to the water in several sections. Highly recommended.

Relatively busy and has lots of fencing.

Packed in our 11month old. Was absolutely beautiful way to start the day!

There was quite a crowd at the parking lot and upper falls, but only a small number of people walk the easy trail to the lower falls. Definitely worth the extra time to go down there and check it out. Don't stop at the bench when you get there - keep walking a bit more to see even more!

LOVED the trail which wasn’t busy, was full of beautiful waterfalls, rapids, and ravines, and was a great find. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous lower falls in full flow

A gift of a trail that just keeps getting better the further you climb.

We hiked as far as the ridge before turning back as it was late in the day. Easy climb up to the pass and clear trail to the ridge on a perfect day (July 15). Great views to the Icefield and will come pack for the summit.

The trail was very broke in and well used, the views were amazing. Once you reach Pinto Lake lookout it is very rewarding. There is all types of wildflowers in full bloom. We also found Cougar tracks on the trail in the valley. I will probably hike this trail again in the future.
