5/17 would recommend crampons. Great hike!

Very easy hike on a nice, well maintained trail. Lake Louise is absolutely phenomenal with epic views of the mountains surrounding.

Awesome, I do it all the time

Our fav hike with 2 kids (9 and 11), slippery after mirror lake.

Hiked 5/1/18. Easy trail. Your mom could do it. It’s all hard packed snow so it’s a little slipping and sliding but there’s no elevation at all. The view from the other end and along the way is worth it only because the trail is so short

Nice ride, not a good idea for beginners. I’ve done this trail 3 times & would do it again! A lot of ups & downs, a couple water crossings. You can take the old transcanada highway back from Ross lake to make it a loop. The trailhead can be tricky to find as it starts off as a horse trail(very muddy and gross) behind the Lake Louise fairmont.
Enjoy!

Just did this trail yesterday. Crampons are a must. Beautiful views made the difficulty of uphill in ice and snow worth it! Tea house is closed and covered up in snow. But we had a snack break of our own on the porch and enjoyed the views! Breathtaking is a literal word I would use in describing this trail.

Yes amazing track! If you have the legs, add little behive (and potentially St Piran). But this includes the best. In fact, the 6 glacier was for me the biggest dissappointment of this whole loop

It's a great hike but not the best around. Try to include all little extra, like little behive. We did The little and big beehive, Lake agnes, highline trail and came back via plain of six glaciers. Big day, filled with amazing views.

If you have to choose between St Piran or fairview, go for fairview. But if you are able to do all I said in a day, then go for the big tour.

It's a great hike! You can easily add highline and plain of the 6 glaciers. But this exact descrption includes all the best in the area (except fairview...take a second day and do it!). We did The little and big beehive, Lake agnes, highline trail and came back via plain of six glaciers. Big day, filled with amazing views

It's a great hike, don't get me wrong. But considering the amazing ones around, I give that only 4 stars. The best is to find a way to add it to something else. We did The little and big beehive, Lake agnes, highline trail and came back via plain of six glaciers. Big day, filled with amazing views

It's a great hike, don't get me wrong. But considering the amazing ones around, I give that only 4 stars. The best is to find a way to add it to something else. We did The little and big beehive, Lake agnes, and then this trail through highline trail. Big day, filled with amazing views

Don't waste your time, there are much nicer hikes around there. It's a very easy stroll but there just isn't much to see.

Obviously if you are there, you should do that. It's very crowded but the lake is very nice.

Nice and easy to follow, the hike isn't that hard because the trail is in very good condition. If you are into scrambling, I'd suggest you look into the mount temple scramble. But go there prepared... We tried to follow folks that were going up but had no clue of the way, so we had to head back 1/3 of the way. Still gorgeous - we ended up going to eiffel lake and the Wenkchemna Pass following west crossing to BC. Big day but amazing. If you skip Mount Temple, and if doing both is too much, I'd suggest doing only Wenkchemna Pass

Short and easy hike with good views of the lake at the end.

It was not so easy with two kids 4 and 1 years old so it took us linger than usual. Nothing interesting in the way up but trees. However, once you reach the mirror lake, it is so beautiful. Finally, you can see a waterfall coming down from lake Agnes. Then, you know it was worth doing it. You can get a hot drink at the tea house. It is also a busy trail with lots of people

Path is still clear during winter and spring. You can actually walk on a parallel path on the lake while it is frozen with somewhat better views because no trees blocking the way. The end of the lake leads to the Plain of Six Glaciers trail. Make sure to steer clear until avalanche season is over (Avalanche training expected to continue forward). Saw many unprepared tourists headed that way when I turned around. People have died in the Lake Louise area from being uneducated about avalanches in the last few years. Be smart!
Great views at the end of the lake side trail.

Just do it!!

Very crowded. Good mountain views and nice lake.

View was way better than Big Beehive. Well worth the extra 45 minute scramble to the top.

First trail we took on our trip to Banff. What a way to start! So much for easing into things. The reward at the end was more than worth it. Tea was wonderful. The return trip seemed to be more difficult, but was worth every step.

Hiked from Lake Moraine over Sentinel Pass all the way to Lake Louise. Beautiful but long. Saw wolverines and heard glaciers calving. Highly recommended.

We started from the paradise creek parking lot then went to giants steps and over sentinel pass. It is very difficult but well worth it.
