The lakes are beautiful and people are actually jumping in for a swim! Perfect on a hot and sunny day! Come prepared if you want to go swimming. There is a presence 2 red Adirondack chairs to offer you the best spot to sit down and relax. Great hike for a family with young kids.

This is a great hike on a lovely day. Grateful that we took the first left after the bridge to go clockwise, avoiding much of the steep uphills. Turn right at the intersection with 2 "9" blazes and be prepared for a steep downhill and some muck close to the outflow creek. First Lake is stunning approached from the north end with views of the snow capped mountains. Found a pretty lakeside spot for lunch. The other lakes are pretty, too, especially Fifth Lake. The return from Fifth is rated difficult, but it's not terribly so. Bears reported close to the trail by other hikers, consequently being vigilant is recommended.

Great bang for your buck. Beautiful views, easy to do with kiddos, well maintained!

Great hike all kinds of terrain . Some logs across the trail and some steep parts . We did it in 2.5 hrs

Trail is well maintained and rolls through the valley around the lakes. It was the Saturday of a Canada Day long weekend when we went so trail was quite busy. The lakes are small but still beautiful with typical wildlife. The hike is easy and accessible for all skill levels and ages.

Beautiful! It took a while to get to the first lake, but then all the lakes were within minutes of each other! Crystal clear water, perfect for a dip if you bring your swim gear!

What a wonderful hike. Defenetly bring your swimming stuff as the lakes are just incredible and just beg for a swim. We did the hike on a very warm and sunny day in May. The trail itself was in a very good condition.

Nice hike that was doable in the winter conditions early April. Some deep patches of snow, Wabasso lake was still totally frozen April 8, walked out to the island.

Nice hike mostly through woods with a lake every so often.

Great easy hike.

Touristy & underwhelming.

Beautiful clear lakes, took a swim in the ice cold water

Nice stroll around some beautiful blue lakes

Did the full loop with a group aged 11 to 43 with no backpacking experience. Perfect three-day hike for us. Lakes were a little mucky, so swimming wasn't an option. Lots of mosquitos. Some really nice views in places of lakes and mountains.

This is a great hike to do at lunchtime. I was one of only a few people on the network of trails which made it especially peaceful. Aside from the two lakes which are mostly inaccessible (as far as I could tell) there's nothing of particular interest to see but worth the time if you aren't looking for anything extraordinary.

We did this as an afternoon hike. the board says it is 13 km, but we found it was closer to 8.5 (we forgot to start recording at the stat and after our lunch break so our recording was a little incomplete). we went counter clockwise around the loop which would be great early in the morning before it gets busy, if you are going in the afternoon I would recommend the opposite direction as that allows some of he crowds to leave the busier area around the lakes before you get there and also puts you into the higher oldgrowth during he heat of he day. very beautiful hike overall the oldgrowth forest is stunning and the lakes are jewels. 5/5 would definitely recommend. lastly a word of warning, at the north end of first lake don't take the lake shore trail especially early in the season or after rains, as it was quite swampy and buggy even in the middle of a hot dry spell, the higher trail would be better.

Very easy and anticlimactic hike. Completed the entire loop as part of a shoulder season/spring backpacking trip. We ended up hiking through thigh-high snow in mid-May which made it more of an adventure.

Beautiful little trail close to Jasper. We took trail 9a and then 9. The lakes are spectacular! Plus the flora and fauna were in full bloom. So take bear spray and a bear bell as we came across scat.

Awesome easy hike.

My favorite hike in Canada so far!

Great way to spend a couple hours. Lots of diversity, beautiful lakes, quiet paths through the trees. Very nice way to spend a morning or afternoon.

One of my favorite hikes in Jasper. Most is a relatively easy hike, but has some steep sections.

Casual loop with crystal clear lakes. Very relaxing, easy up and down as you cross the valley and the ability to connect to other trails and detour the main trail is nice.

Beautiful lakes! Seriously breathtaking. Lots of good spots to stop and eat lunch. We were able to do the full 5 lakes in under 2 hrs. Kept a pretty good pace tho.

Did it with a 3 year old and a 4 year old today. They did great and everyone had a good time!

As a beginner hiker I was a little surprised to see this classified as easy. Very beautiful and calming walk.

I did this on MTB many many years ago.
It was raining and gloomy but we still had fun.
