Such a beautiful, easy hike. Went up to the (hopefully abandoned??) bear cave past the waterfall. Crowds completely die after that point, very peaceful.

Did this May 27, it's an amazing hike. It's straight up, lots of scree. Worth the views at the top. Take some paper and pen to leave a message at the one peak. you can scramble down and over to the actual peak, we didn't but maybe next time.

Some nice views along the way up, once the canyon opens up the path isn't marked the greatest but it leaves a lot of room for exploring. I would recommend this as a nice afternoon outing and would do it again.

Lots of incline, would recommend hiking boots/ footwear with lots of grip, bring a marker and a notecard to leave a little message at the desk!

It’s a easy walk to get there. I went there today and didn’t see anyone. If you want to see something bring as much flashlight as you can! I was alone and I couldn’t see that much with only one flashlight.. I’d say to go during the week if you want it to be quiet :)

This trail is great because of how simple and beautiful it is. The area is also historically significant and it was nice to see and read about some of it.

absolute shit. walk under a powerline a couple hundred meters from a loud plant for a view worst than the ones from the road

It had some difficult elevation and scrambling but was beautiful along the way!

One of Alberta’s best kept secrets.

Did this hike in the winter and I think that is the best season to see it! The frozen waterfalls are spectacular. Not a hard hike, little elevation gain if you go along the river, but it does get windy.

Lots of logging nearby. Followed the rocky riverbed through canyon and thought it was a challenging but beautiful hike. Got to have good shoes and poles though!

Short and easy hike to the bunker. Cool experience, especially considering the Canadian History during the Cold War era.
Flashlights or headlamps required. Recommended during non peak traffic times as screaming children blowing air horns can take away from the experience :)

Loved this hike! It was challenging but had views in all directions the entire way up. The only thing I would caution against is bringing your dog. Sadly both of my dogs ended up with very sore pads by the end of the day. There were other dogs on the mountain as well so I would be interested to know how they made out. Other than that I would totally do this one again.

Great view. warm at the base and cool at the summit. Went up June 19 with my family.

Very Poor. Power line stroll with excellent views of a man made quarry. Waterfall is 2 ft high, extremely disappointing and a waste of time. Rocky walk with plenty of opportunities to twist your ankle! Canmore should be ashamed.

Absolutely stunning views of the foothills! Did this hike with 4 children 8-10 and our dog. We will have to go back to complete all the trails in this beautiful park. We had a blast, felt like we were in Vancouver and the wildlife was amazing. Saw many butterflies, deer, flowers, creeks, abandoned cabins, (my kids favorite) and breath taking scenery. We will be back!

Conditions are good. River bed is dry and easy to navigate.

Very challenging hike. Strait up from the start. The view at the top makes it all worth it, very rewarding.

We had a lovely hike yesterday, but on the way down the path isn’t too clearly marked- as long as you stay closer to the ridge (on the left) the whole way down you will be fine. But all in all it was a beautiful hike with incredible payoff.

challenging but rewarding!

Nice and easy. Great waterfall pictographs and inukshuks

Good trail for a beginner hiker. First part is pretty bland, but it gets better once you actually start going up the stream. All around average.

Had to take a lot of breaks, but it was a great view!

Beautiful rocky canyon trail! Supportive footwear a must.

Lots of beautiful wildflowers and singing birds. Nice forest walk.
Bug spray necessary.

This trail is challenging but short and totally worth it. If you know the history of the area it gives you a bit of an eerie feeling looking down at the slide. Unrelenting slope. Hope your glutes are prepared. You can navigate through the saddle to the true summit if you're feeling brave or stop at the false summit but get basically an equal view.

just finished this today, couldn't imagine dealing with the scree without hiking boots (a must!) and be careful with a windy day. had 25kmph winds on the ridge, almost turned back. incredible INCREDIBLE views worth all the hard work and sore legs.

Easy hike. Lots of loose and big gravel. 60-80 minutes round trip. Take a coffee and enjoy the bench seat of the Bow Valley.
