My friend and I walked this trail with my dog a few weeks ago. It was beautiful and not very busy. Nice views of the river and some interpretive facts along the way about the history of the area. Bathrooms are also on the path. There were long stretches without shade though so bring lots of water and sunscreen. Also, watch your dogs paws on the asphalt. My pupper had some hot feet and got a little sun burnt.

fun and good exercise. enjoyable with friends and family

went with a two year old who mastered this trail!

May 14, 2018. 27C. The views of the mountains are terrific. we began on paved pathway, past the parks centre which is under construction. Down hill on pavement, turn right at the three donor list signs, then head back uphill on a unpaved trail. Lovely scenery, wildflowers, but a tad exposed for the hot sunshine.

Great beginner hiking path, had some cow patties from the cows that roam the area. Great views of the mountains and river.

Beautiful long walk. You must go down to the river to picnic! the trails are mostly paved so it's stroller friendly. I love the horses and I've seen coyotes there too. I've been here at least twice. there are washrooms in the parking lot.

My son and I did this today. there were a ton of bikers on the paved trail and the likely more interesting part of the trail (by the river) was closed due to cattle being out in the pasture. Lots of cow patties on the trail. so, could be fun if you had your bike, but you are better off driving another hour to go to Banff and walk/hike there instead for much better sights.
