Stayed two nights over July 7th weekend. A few observations:
The lake area gets cold really fast with west wind.
It’s cold there despite beautiful sunny and warm weather on the way up to the lake. Forecast for SK River is crossing (closest weather location) was very very wrong and we got a lot of rain despite better forecast so pack rain, wind and cold weather gear regardless of the forecast if staying overnight.
We loved the area and hiked to the waterfall that you can see from the lake area. Took about an hour going slow with a lot of stops and required a bit of bush wacking as we didn’t find a trail leading to the waterfall.

I'd like to mention that the trail from Tuff Puff Ridge to Kinglet Lake is not really marked at all. It seems like there had been several other people traipsing around looking for the trail as we were....trampling lots of vegetation in the process. If I go back again, I'd go with GPS and try to set up some cairns so we can all stick to one trail. That said we did find the lake and this was a lovely hike.

Quick short walk down to a beautiful spot in the river.

We wanted to go on June 14th, but the parking area (and I'm guessing, the trail itself) is closed

Trail not easy to find in most places , when in doubt stay left on west slope , left of highest rock point you see as climbing

We hiked this trail in late May. The trail was clear of snow, but there were several areas of the trail that were wet or spongy. Most of these areas could be avoided by walking along the outer borders of the trail. Elevation gain was not bad at all; however, there were lots of exposed roots along the trail and few views of the surrounding mountains until you reach the end of the trail. The view at Chephren Lake was beautiful, and we were fortunate to observe a small avalanche from a distance, which was super, super cool.

A really good hike to awesome scenery. May long 2018 the lake was iced over but the shore line had access to open water.

Beautiful lake, well worth the effort. 99% of trail is in the trees. But the destination is more then worth it

A beautiful pit stop that could be very easily overlooked! A short walk down the hill gets you to the canyon with gorgeous falls. You could make this a 30 minute stop, or carry on exploring the trails along the river.

Went on Aug 12. Great hike with a dog, and the lake was absolutely stunning.

Beautiful outcome at the end of the trail. However, the trail is filled with lots of large roots and a very steep desent to the lake.

Beautiful waters beautiful rocks beautiful mountain views on this easy hike off the Icefields Parkway. Love this!

Easy access from parking, immediate accent, beautiful forest, trail is scant in some areas due to fire and it never having been a marked trail.

You're hiking through the forest with nothing about but the birds and bees. You see a hint of blue through the trees and then you walk into the clearing. Suddenly right in front of you is the most beautiful glacier lake, at the foot of the mountains. It's like you have wandered into paradise.

This short jaunt off the ice fields parkway is worth a quick stop. You hike downhill to a bridge and canyons filled with gushing water. Many people hike off trail to get a closer look. Only downside is the walk uphill to the parking lot.

Super Easy stroll along a very lightly traveled trail. A Little something for everyone. Can probably be done year round.

Short, easy hike to an incredible river crossing where the 20-yard-wide river rips through a slot canyon at high speed - terrifying to be close to the edge, as many people wander pretty close to the river off the main trail. Stay on the bridge and it's a beautiful experience showing the raw power of nature.
