I hiked this trail on Tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed the views at the top, as well as, the beautiful vistas looking back towards the Spray Lakes and surrounding mountains! Be aware of the “Y” in the trail right at the beginning of the hike (go right, up the steeper trail that has the “no biking” sign). It is a steady climb up with a winding, narrow , at times, trail through the woods and out onto some rocky sections. I arrived about 6:45p.m. and found more trails to be explored at the top of the pass. Unfortunately due to time, and the threat of a storm, I was unable to explore around the area. Loved the challenge and peace of being out in the mountains alone! Low traffic trail.
