Beautiful trail in the middle of the city!

Honestly don’t walk it unless you’re prepared and it’s early in the day. The walk is very leisurely but is extremely long, expect around 4-5hrs to complete the walk. Gorgeous scenery.

Took the dog and it was great! A little narrow in some spots but nice views.

can complete in under an 1.5 hours on bike. I happen to live by this trail and love the far west end in weasel head. if you go off the paved road there is some great hidden gems and you don't even feel like you're in the city at some points. Once back on the paved trails it's a fairly busy area.

Beautiful view, right on the water, and super close to home... doesn’t get much better.

great for kids! calming views. bring a bike, it's a large area and you'll want to see everything .

I completed this trail on a weekday and I am glad I did as portions of this walk were quite busy with bikes, runners and walkers. The trail is a good length with some slight challenge for beginners-those wanting to challenge themselves with a distance hike as opposed to elevation.

I did the whole trail by walking.

It is beautiful but quite long.

Next time, I will get the bike an sunscreen!

Great place to take the kids for a walk or bike. Paved and once away from Main roads it's gorgeous. Good for inner city escape

Nice views of downtown but windy as heck up on the hill. Very short, but there is some nifty information boards and lots of doggos to be spotted.

Lovely single track bike trails. i’d rate easier because a beginner mountain biker or kid could do these. Such a gem inside the city. We went left after the bridge near elbow drive (not on trail) and wound up on a steep rooty climb up the ridge. Basically the more closely you follow (or ascend) the ridge the more technical trails you can hit up. Easier ones run along fish creek itself

Gorgeous family friendly trails great for trail strollers & balance bikes. Follow the trails alongside the river

I walk about 5 hours. total is 18.5km.

This is a great loop to do with the family on bike or foot. Lots to see and do along the way. One of Calgary’s gems. If you want to add a little more of a hike, go back into the trees west of the Stoney bridge.

walking with friends and fam.... what a wonderful day

Glenmore Reservoir provides a great loop pathway- perfect for those mid-to-longer half-marathon training runs. Given it's all on pavement, I wouldn't classify this path as "trail running" but that's the only running-related activity option listed by AllTrails. Love the variety of scenery and occasional hills. While not nearly as fast to run around as to cycle, running the loop cuts the time almost in half versus walking it. So if you're short on time or want a great place to train for a race, Glenmore is it.

Huge park. Lots of room for the dog to play around.

Huge park! I always try to pick a different entrance each time I take my dog. He loves it there. Nice city views from one side of the hill and mountain views from the other side. I prefer it when it's got more colours in the spring and summer. Small dogs seem to go missing in the tall grass a lot here so do be careful. They are often found but lots of coyotes in the area to be aware of as well.

Faire le tour complet avec un enfant de 7 ans ça prend 4 heures! Belle randonnée!!

I spent a week here I. The fall as the colors changed. There were many other areas to explore and felt close to the mountains without the distance.

I walked today for the first time.It is beautiful but to finish the trail you must be be prepared to wear water and a sandwich or snack cause the walk it takes around 4 hours.

I will choose next time to do it by bike.

Really nice walk down by the river. We only did a short walk and went for ice cream afterwards.

This is one of my favourite paths in Calgary - for some of it, you forget you're even in a city. My favourite part is through the Weaselhead area, my least favourite is along the causeway along Glenmore Trail - that brings you back to the fact you're in a city REALLY fast, with cars screaming past you at 80 to 100kmh. Thankfully once you're off that bridge and either into the neighbourhood to the west or near the hospital to the east, it settles back down. Lots of opportunities for photos, for rest breaks, even a snack at Glenmore Landing (lots of selections - McDonalds, Starbucks, Good Earth, Booster Juice to name a few) - it's a good 3-4 hour journey. It is definitely a busy path with bikers, runners and walkers, but it's worth the journey.
I am looking forward to when the dam deck is open to extend the walk - but that's a couple of years away!
It's a beautiful day for a walk, so off I go!

A nice Sunday walk. Trails were snowy and slushy but coming along nicely.

Nice views and a good walk. Still pretty snow covered in most spots and I found the on site maps a bit hard to figure out. The loop I took was about an hour walk :)

Nice place to walk the dog.

Excellent trails for the evening weekday rides, not many places you can still hit the single track when you get off at 6PM. If you want single track and a forest like setting stay to the west end. The east end is pretty sparse.

nice easy urban walk with great views of downtown and close to bars and restaurants
