Amazing views from the top! Be prepared for switchbacks though, as this trail is full of them!! I’ve done this hike a few times now and have enjoyed the “reward” at the top every time!

I did this in the summer however! Just late to rate it.

Awesome hike with great views at the top!

The air was still a little smokey which dampened the view a bit. Great hike, good elevation, a little sketchy walking the ridge but the view is worth it! It was nice having bathrooms at the entrance of the hike as well.

Our second time on this trail. Beautiful conditions today, though we left the summit a bit early due to an impending thunderstorm. The initial switchbacks are a bit of a snore, but always worth it by the time you reach the rock bands near the summit. My daughter and I enjoyed handfuls of wild strawberries and raspberries on the way down. Even noticed some blueberries, though they'll need a few weeks. Always a nice hike. Very accessible summit for beginners.

Such a great first hike! It was foggy, however captivating. A well marked trail. Can’t wait to see it in the sunshine.

Beautiful trail. Be sure to pay attention to the signs and markers at the trail head. Turn right at the creek, go down and cross it to start the trail. If you go left and up at the creek it’s a much more difficult route - challenging but definitely not for beginners. We ended up on the wrong trail rock climbing and scrambling with 7 children. Quite the adventure but it could be dangerous for young ones.
Be bear aware - we saw a mama with a cub only 40 ft off the main trail switchbacks.

I only didn't rate 5 because the first leg up to the top is very long and boring in the woods. Very tedious with not much view - up or down. But once you reach the rocky section at the top, before crossing the scree, things take a whole new turn. Breathtaking. Amazing views of the valley and of the summit. The trail across the ridge towards the summit is exciting. A nice meadow at the end for lunch. Then you head up yo the summit. Great view and excellent spot for panoramic photos 360 degrees. Again, the top is amazing, but then you trek down through the woods and wonder when ever you will reach your car. Not for the faint of heights. Gets steep at the last stretch. But totally worth it if you finish it.

Good hike to do with a dog and less experienced hikers! Great views at the top.

Great hike, beautiful views at the top. We ended up taking the wrong trail up and went straight up the mountain with great difficulty. We were able to find the correct trail at the top to go down. Perfect spot at the top to have lunch or a snack. Make sure to cross the creek once you enter the trail to go up the right one.

Super amazing!! Best view I can remember!!

A great hike up the rock face to the very top of the mountain. Thw view of the valley below is lovely. Make sure you stop at the lookout point on the way up. Have a snack there and get some great photos up there before you continue on to the top.

Nice, moderate hike with nice views and variable terrain. The trail is not terribly steep and walking the ridge along the top is very relaxing and enjoyable.

Great hike easily marked. Switch backs make the incline less intense. It says the trail is 12.2km but my phone and friends says 17. We didn’t mind though because we are training for west coast trail.

Great hike with kids and dog.

Great first hike (ever)!

Beautiful hike. The smell of spruce filled the air up to the top. The view was spectacular. Went during the contained fires happening in the distance, interesting to see the orange-red smoke clouds. Highly recommend.

It’s a long shot but my son lost his Bose Earbuds on the trail May 20. If found please let me know. Thx. Trail is great by the way!

Great hike for beginners, easy and straight forward. The ridge line crossing was kind of cool. Still some snow and ice in sections but nothing serious. Ice cleats were a help but not necessary. In the next few weeks all of the snow should be gone. Dog friendly!

A group of 15 of us hiked this trail in August 2017 we took the back way, Ridgeline. Then going down we took the forest path, which was switchback. Challenging hike but the view at the top of he summit was spectacular

first hike I ever did a while back, it was great! Not a hard hike, just long. I always recommended it for beginners, gives a good taste of nature!

Took us 2.5 hours to climb to the summit and another 2 hours to hike back down to the parking lot. We went up through the forest taking the switchback trail. A strenuous incline most of the way until we crossed the rock face then mostly level trail until the ascent to the summit. A great hike!

Great hike! In & out took just over 5 hours. Pretty good altitude climb in spots, good recovery spots along the way. Beautiful views! The climb along the rock edge to get across is a great adrenaline rush and walking the ridge of the mountain is an amazing feeling.
