Very good hike, steady slope for most of the way. There are a few lookout spots on the way to the top that houses an amazing view of the kananaskis country area! When I went there was a tremendous amount of snow about 3/4 of the way up, but it just added to the challenge. The view at the top is gorgeous. You will get a beautiful sight of the mountain ridge to the west. Overall it was a great hike, would definitely recommend to the experienced hiker!

As of May 15, there was still quite a bit of snow on the trails towards the top

Good for trail running as well. A few muddy spots but overall very good.

Biggest issue with this trail was how poorly it was marked. Often got on to another path... or maybe it wasn’t even a path??.. not sure. If there were path signs/markers they were on the ground buried under over growth. I thought it was a beautiful hike, with very few other hikers which was nice. You could really hear the sounds of the forest. ... but definitely needs some marker upgrade.

Trail is a little muddy and parts still have snow but over all a great day. Definitely and easy walk so good for beginners dogs and children

This was an amazing trail to snowshoe. We arrived at 7.45am and were the only two on the trail until the last kilometre or two. It was so peaceful. I’m not a fit person so was worried I wouldn’t manage this hike, however, I managed it well with regular breaks! It took us about 5 hours to complete (baring in mind my fitness, stopping for photos, one proper 15 minute break for tea and walking through deep snow). My legs were killer by the end!

A lot of it was pathed for us by previous snowshoers, however, the path suddenly stopped and we ended up fending for ourselves for a while and took a couple of wrong turns. Thankfully the app helped us get back on track. The full thing ended up taking us 13km!

The sites were insanely beautiful. Particularly at sunrise. Ending at the river was a treat and a nice way to finish. Will definitely be back in the summer!

Side note - the camping parking lot was closed. We ended up ditching the car by the gate and this seemed to be ok as when we returned there were 6-7 cars there too.

Took the snowshoes made the east end of Sulphur a bit easier to walk. Beauty day Jan 15

Dec 10/17. Beautiful views of mountains and river. Glad we had micro spikes. Easy to follow trail however gets a little confusing at the end down by the river. we ended up tromping through the campground to get back to our car.

Beautiful hike.

Great views up near Moose Mountain Road, and down through the Riverview Trail. Hiked this loop Nov 14/17 - snow was packed down enough on the trail that you don’t need spikes or snowshoes.

This really is a great intermediate hiking trail. Very beautiful and some sections and serene.

Need better signs, try to read the map while in intersection (take pictures at entrance, some signs are broken). Overall pretty good hike for all ages.

Slow steady climb. Nice day and a nice panoramic view at the rock cropping summit. Wonderful place to enjoy lunch. Have not spent much time in the area. Neat to see Moose Mountain from the Cox Hill vantage point.

His was a slog at times. My legs wanted to quit and did many times. We took ridgeback up and Tom snow down. 12.8km loop, we omitted the top 3k loop and I'm glad. This one was a tough one but a great time along the wooded ridge.

Not great for hikers. This is really a mountain bike trail. Not well marked and a hard path to find. I thought it was lovely but it's very narrow and when bikes are coming toward you, you have to move into the brush. I wouldn't hike this one again. And I wouldn't bike it either because that's not my thing but it seemed to be quite popular as there were a ton of bikers out there!

Gorgeous trails with lots of different views : mountains, river, wild flowers. Trail get close to road in some areas, hearing car from far. Crossing the highway makes it a tad sketchy but doesn't impact the experience too much. Overall a 10k with mix of flat and steep elevation. Our retriever, Lola, had a good time too.

Beautiful! Came across a giant moose and lots of deer. Enjoyed this hike

Trails are not marked well.
We ended up starting at Station flats because Patty's flat Campground did not have parking for say use.

We went on Sunday, May 6.
Light snow and muddy but saw lots of wild life.
Owl. Coyote. Elk.

Amazing views at the summits! Well worth the climb! Some ice along the trail and quite a bit of snow starting about halfway up (May 8/17).

Very challenging but the view at the end is totally worth it. There are a couple spots along the way to look out (views of moose mountain). Starts off with a lot of elevation gain then you can barely notice it until you get close to the top. Took 6 hours round trip with some snow on the trail.

Nice and close to the city, lots of ups and downs. A pretty decent view from the top. We went on a Saturday in April and we only saw 3 other groups of people on the whole trail, that part was nice as our dog likes to be off leash.

I am chuckling over Will's comment about nearly dying. I, too, almost died the first time I did Cox Hill: on snowshoes!, Great hike!

A really nice hiking with good views. The trail was not continuously steep. It always had some parts where you can catch your breath.

Steep but beautiful views are well worth the climb. We started at jumping pound trailhead and came across ridgeline and down cox hill. Requires a vehicle drop.
