Good workout for daily training, up n down in under 45min

Great hike for families even infants and old people. I’m unfit and it took me 45 minutes each way.

Slightly challenging if you’re with someone sedentary but great views.

Nice but crowded

One of the most beautiful drives with plenty of stops and activities throughout.

If you're unfit and lazy like me, a little under half of the hike is actually pretty tough. But its completely worth it. Gorgeous views at the top and at the end there are two red chairs. If you go with a partner, make sure to bring a couple of cold ones to crack, lay back and enjoy.

Some great views of the valley and a very reasonable hike.

Great hike when you are limited on time. The views were wonderful. Challenging at parts and switchbacks were a nice change.

Super easy, flat trail. About a 12km hike round trip if you turnaround at the creek/bridge. Would be perfect for trail running, biking, and snowshoeing. Not the best views of the Rockies (no clearings) and the mosquitos were pesky.

Well worth the climb! Spectacular views of Banff.

A great workout with an awesome reward at the finish. Incredible views from all angles.

Nice short switchback trail that begins right in Banff. Once at the top you will have nice views overlooking the town of Banff on one side and the Banff Springs Golf course on the other. I found it’s best to hike in the evening just before sunset to avoid the crowds. Make sure to bring a drink with you to sip on one of the two red Adirondack chairs overlooking the town.

Gets busy some days, but also worth returning when in the area. I’ve done this hike several times now over the last few years (winter and summer), never gets old

Awesome short hike! About 1.5-2hr return, great views all around! Lots of people though as it is right in Banff

Nice hike

Short but relatively steep. Views of the city and river along the trail.

Awesome views. Hard at the scramble means hard

Great “hike” (pretty easy)...quick, great views. Up and down in under 2 hrs depending on pace. Great spot to hang out and soak it in at top (although gets crowded).

Great short hike. The view at the top is fantastic. You can see all of Banff downtown with mountains in the back. Do this hike for the view. You can sit at the top on the rocks and enjoy.

This is a nice first day walk into town from the Fairmont. Good way to acclimate.

Nothing beats this trail in winter. Cross country skiing from Canmore to Banff, ending with beer and nachos at the fairmont Banff springs hotel.

Great views of town of Banff and pleasant hike. Not really out in wildy but picturesque views of town.

We did this hike with an under-slept 5 year old who "needed to sit for a minute" every 20 meters..
Took us 3.5 hours round trip (incliding a 45 minute picnic at the summit.)
We parked at the lower lot (lots more room here for parking). The hike from the bottom parking lot to the higher one was the steepest part but not hard.
Pretty little hike, but the views just don't compare to taller mountains and you have to wait your turn for pictures and to look out. Very very busy trail. We left the trail at 7:30pm and still passed plenty of people just heading up.
Not a challenging hike. Great for beginners. Boots and poles aren't necessary. Hiking shoes will do just fine. We passed every age, shape, and size on this hike from a mom with an infant and 2 year old, to an 85 year old couple. So long review short, if you're looking to be wowed with views and accomplishment at the summit, this is not your hike. If you want an easy day filler walk with little to no hiking prep, this is what you're looking for! But regardless, a mountain hike through the trees is never a let down.

It’s a beautiful little hike. Short but sweet good for all ages. Took me 48 mins to the top with a full back pack alone. Well marked trail, easy to follow. Lots of other people. Not my favourite.

Relatively easy trail with some steeper portions. Fine for beginners. View is alright but nothing spectacular. Round trip can be accomplished in 1.5 hours. Parking at lower portion is good, parking up a little higher is scarce. Maybe 10 vehicles max. Trail can be slippery when wet, specifically up higher on the rocky areas

Easy hike up with a great view of downtown Banff on one side and Bow River on the other. Only took about an hour or sightly more round trip. Great short hike. Right next to Banff Centre. Not sure why this is classified as moderate, a few slightly steep areas but a child could do this. I wore my hiking shoes, boots not needed.

Trail was a bit steeper than expected. Lots of switch backs, lots of large rocks on the trails. We did walk while raining, which made the large rocks very slippery.

I “hiked” this trail about two years ago in December.

My family was up in Banff for Christmas vacation and my brother and I wanted to do a very basic hike near banff while the rest of our family enjoyed downtown banff. We didn’t have “real” hiking gear at the time and there was snow on the ground so we didn’t want to hike a “heavy incline”. We figured that even with basic winter boots, we’d be slipping.
This section of Tunnel Mountain trail was recommended to us Buy a local so we figured we would try it.

It was a decent hike with an easy to follow trail. Tunnel Mountain had a decent view up at the summit. But if you are expecting to have an absolutely amazing view… You should probably find a Nother hiking trail, like sulfur Mountain.

If you are looking for a walk with your friends to be able to talk and enjoy some scenery this would be a great walk/hike for you.

Nice views from a couple of view points but just way to busy to really enjoy any of it.
