blowdown

In all probability the only shaded trails on Tortola since the 2017 hurricanes. The BVI National Parks Trust has opened up the trails and done a pretty decent job of it. Covered the whole of the Central Trail, a section of the south Trail and full length of the North Trail with spurs in 2 1/4 hours with moderate heat, 86F. Approach was a bit muddy from recent rain. Trails were well drained and dry. One major blow-down needs to be cleared at 0.25 miles from the entry gate on the North Trail. Others are easily navigated. Signage is in place for all trail crossings, though some need to be secured. Overall, a good experience and well worth the time.

Stunning hiking trail! Over sand, rocks, and in the water. Get there early to avoid the crowds. We got dropped off by dinghy and had quite the swim in but it was worth it. You don’t need shoes but some people wore water shoes. Might need to bring swim fins to swim in.

This place is amazing, the sheer size of the boulders that you get to walk between make you feel like an insect in the pebbles in your yard. If you ever find your way to this corner of the world please check out this wonder! The party of people that I was with sailed in and swam to shore but there is access via the road. That access is listed in my recordings. This place is phenomenal!!!
