Great hike! With the humidity and different type of terrain this hike is definitely a challenge. It took us about two hours to get to the top and two hours back. This hike has beautiful views of the ocean.

This is an excellent hike close to Sao Paulo, Brazil. The first half is through the jungle and the second half offers some, but not a lot of shade. We saw monkeys which was a treat. The recording is from the parking area to the summit of Pico do Jaraguá. The view from the top gives you an appreciation for just how big Sao Paulo is (The largest city in South America). I am traveling on business and did not have my trekking poles, but was certainly wishing that I had them. Would recommend this hike for sure!

Anspruchsvoller Weg durch Regenwald mit mehreren Wasserfällen. Teilweise sehr steinig. Das Ziel ist das Dorf Bonete, das sonst nur per Boot erreicht werden kann. Am Ende sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Bucht von Bonete.

Beautiful moderate to hard trail with ups and downs and rocky portions. Many great view of the lagoon throughout and historical ruins that enrich the experience. Bring bug spray and lots of water.

Amazing trail. Give yourself 3 days and two nights . Suggestions Hire a mountain guide , June to September , plan water . Deduct 3 to 5 degrees Celsius from any weather forecast .

You will be able to experience wild nature, small villages and a beautifull mix of green and blue. At the end you will find good restaurants so tou can sit relax and take a pid boat to where you began.

Great hike just North of São Paulo. Took an Uber to Alberto Löfgren State Park (about 40 min from Paulista area). First part of the hike is paved but has pretty impressive inclines. We took the split to the left (500 km longer) on the way up. The trail to Lago das Carpas was clay and gravel for the most part. We started the hike early and it was mostly shaded, a plus when it is hot and humid. We used mosquito repellent as it was advised by locals. Never encountered any mosquitos but happy to be prepared. Would definitely recommend this hike.

This trail is smal part of a 250 mile trail . It’s a beautiful site seeing and big part of it is on dirt . Be prepared for raining that’s common in this mountain system.

Amazing hike with different types of terrain! Highly recommend! Bring lots of water . Also if short of time there are boats that will take you back to the mainland

Excellent hike and extremely safe. There was officers the whole way up. Which was nice to see Brazil making an effort for safety. Trail took us just over an hour and we have good footwear and do a lot of hiking. There was a couple places that had a good incline, nothing dangerous though. Was a good hike and I would do it again, bring water.

Incredible! Day one was mostly a hike through thicker woods, gaining elevation in a humid setting. By the end of the day it started to rain and we trudged through mud and rock to get to abrigo açú. Day 2 I call Disneyworld because it was like a theme park of sliding down rocks on your butt, scrambling over rocks, climbing the “elevador” a bunch of rebar steps on the side of a sheer rock face, and mounting the “cavalinho” a fallen rock that I later learned is really on the side of a sheer drop off O___O Day 3 is an easy zigzag stroll down through a tropical forest. Abrigos are warm and cozy, beautiful trail even with clouds and little views. Physically demanding but super fun and rewarding. Loved it!!

Minha primeira trilha de volta em casa após dois anos de intercâmbio em Julho de 2019. Adorei a vista e a água gelada. As duas cachoeiras são lindas. Trilha sem muitos aclives/declives e sem muitas pedras. Usei apenas tênis corrida. My first trail after coming back home from an exchange program in July 2019. Really appreciated the views and the cold water. Both waterfalls are beautiful. Trail is mostly flat and not too rocky. Used my snickers and it was just fine.

Great way to get the Redeemer, I recommend to wear comfortable clothes and bring water or fruits.

A moderate trail, starting off Sepultura Beach, leading to the rocky Sepultura Tip.
