The Aparados da Serra National Park is located on the border of the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, in the southern region of Brazil. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, cycling on the plateau trails, bathing in the river (only the Rio do Boi Trail), fauna watching and picnicking in permitted areas. There is currently no entrance fee to the Park. It is not allowed to enter with pets, nor to have barbecue or bonfires in the Park area. ATTENTION: Some GPS have instructed drivers to access the Park through an entrance before reaching the Center of Cambará do Sul / RS. This entrance has been closed for years. Access to the Aparados da Serra National Park must be done: (a) or entering the center of Cambará do Sul / RS and taking the road around the corner of the Pioneer Supermarket, (b) or accessing the rural area of Cambará via Estrada do Crespo (entrance next to Cambará Lodge) and turning right at the intersection of Morro Agudo, (c) or, for those coming from Praia Grande / SC towards Cambará do Sul / RS, going up Serra do Faxinalzinho, the road passes in in front of the Park entrance.Show more

The most popular attraction is the Caracol waterfall a beautiful 131-meter Fall. Visitors can enjoy many ecological trails, a great place for wildlife viewing.
