Trilha muito boa, com vistas de tirar o folêgo assim como a parte inicial da Trilha que é bem puxada. Eu adoro esse Lugar, estou sempre lá. Recomendo acampar :)

Feels like the towns best kept secret hidden by the local. would recommend. end point is a secluded beach past a rocky path less traveled. can see the town shore from a distance and we caught the purple orange hue sunset on the way back.

Incredibly breathtaking. In some sections, you'll need to use rope to advance. Also, it's dangerous at the top. Try to do this hike when it's not windy.

Incredibly beautiful view. I highly recommend it, but you need good physical preparation and great care in the carrasqueira. Vista incrivelmente linda. Super recomendo, mas precisa de um bom preparo físico e muito cuidado na carrasqueira.

Trilha moderada, com excelente vista do Rio! Super recomendo! Oriento apenas que seja feito com grupos que tenham experiência na mesma

Not truly 5 miles, perhaps so on a round trip. Felt completely safe. Guards were present at a couple key points.

Wonderful hike, very few folks on the trail. at trail head authorities took personal info for safety precautions. We felt safe for the entire hike and I am very glad we hoofed it vs taking the tram. We are in fairly good shape but still my legs feel like lead tonight. enjoy!

This is an intense and challenging hike that makes you use all of your body strength. I did it with a guide and used rope and harness for the carrasrqueira part. I saw a few men climb up without ropes. We did a loop starting from another side that is shorter and steeper. I went after consecutive rainy days in Rio, so there was a lot of mud, slippery rocks, and a lot of water in the stream, this made it a bit more difficult since it was hard to maintain good traction on the rocks. My guide also took us to the Garganta do Ceu viewpoint, but again thick fog blocked the view. I would do it again when I come back to Rio. I did not have any view at the top or during the hike because it was really cloudy, a lot of fog, so I did not get my cool summit pictures, but I enjoyed the physical challenge.

Excellent hike and extremely safe. There was officers the whole way up. Which was nice to see Brazil making an effort for safety. Trail took us just over an hour and we have good footwear and do a lot of hiking. There was a couple places that had a good incline, nothing dangerous though. Was a good hike and I would do it again, bring water.

Incredible! Day one was mostly a hike through thicker woods, gaining elevation in a humid setting. By the end of the day it started to rain and we trudged through mud and rock to get to abrigo açú. Day 2 I call Disneyworld because it was like a theme park of sliding down rocks on your butt, scrambling over rocks, climbing the “elevador” a bunch of rebar steps on the side of a sheer rock face, and mounting the “cavalinho” a fallen rock that I later learned is really on the side of a sheer drop off O___O Day 3 is an easy zigzag stroll down through a tropical forest. Abrigos are warm and cozy, beautiful trail even with clouds and little views. Physically demanding but super fun and rewarding. Loved it!!

Great way to get the Redeemer, I recommend to wear comfortable clothes and bring water or fruits.

A great trail! Do not be afraid of the safety it was fine. The best way to get to Christ the Redeemer, the busses and shuttles looked terrible and crowded. I counted 7.5 miles there and back. It is very hot and humid so bring a lot of water. Saw multiple families of monkeys!!!! :)

Well maintained trail. Easy to moderate. Too rainy and foggy when we went to enjoy the viewpoints but beautiful forest still.

I hired a local guide and he obviously knew the trail through and through. I happened to do the hike on a day when it was 95 degrees and a heat index of 106, which, is pretty rough. However, the rain forest before the summit is quite beautiful. It is full of jack fruit trees, monkeys and toucans (heard but not seen) and a lovely assortment of butterflies. Definitely bring lots of cold water and Gatorade type drinks and snacks. It is physically taxing and can get pretty technical with lots of scrambling. The dreaded carresquiera is right before the summit. It is about 30 meters high. For extra safety, I was roped up. Admittedly, it is scary, especially if you look down. After that, there is still more ascent and some scrambling until you finally reach the summit, which has absolutely stunning views of Rio. I repelled down, which was much easier than ascending. A wonderful experience which provides great memories and photos.

This is a great hike and is definetelly a hard hike. The rain and mud added another level of difficulty. I recorded about 6.4 miles round trip.

Beautiful location , but this is not a hike , it is more of a stroll . Kid-friendly but not jogger -friendly . Running is strictly forbidden after 8 or 9 am and they will enforce that.

Dense tropical forest most of the way . There are signs to avoid getting lost , but other than that it feels you’re in wild and uncharted territory - very exciting . This is definitely a hard trail because there is constant climbing - it will take average hikers at least 2 hours to get to the top .
