Serra do Cipó National Park is located in the municipalities of Jaboticatubas, Santana do Riacho, Morro do Pilar and Itambé do Mato Dentro. The unit protects several species of Brazilian flora and fauna threatened with extinction. Visitors can enjoy a variety of bathing options in waterfalls and natural pools with crystal clear water, the two main attractions of the park being the Canion das Bandeirinhas and the Cachoeira da Farofa. There are also many hiking trails, in which it is possible to observe the great diversity of flora and fauna, in addition to curious pointed rocks present throughout the area. The Caparaó National Park is located in the Serra do Caparaó, on the border of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo. Caparaó National Park is one of the mountaineering icons in Brazil and is home to the third highest point in the country, Pico da Bandeira, which is 2,892 meters high. In addition to it, five of the ten highest peaks in the entire national territory are in the Conservation Unit (UC). The park is also a relevant geological heritage and protects several endemic and endangered species of fauna and flora, in addition to protecting springs from three important hydrographic basins (Itabapoana, Itapemirim and Doce rivers). Visitors can enjoy various attractions such as visiting Pico da Bandeira and several viewpoints, valleys, waterfalls and beautiful natural pools. For lovers of hiking, the park has a wide system of trails, signposted, short, medium and long distance and with different levels of difficulty.
