This trail is smal part of a 250 mile trail . It’s a beautiful site seeing and big part of it is on dirt . Be prepared for raining that’s common in this mountain system.

HikingMuddyRockyScramble

Incredible! Day one was mostly a hike through thicker woods, gaining elevation in a humid setting. By the end of the day it started to rain and we trudged through mud and rock to get to abrigo açú. Day 2 I call Disneyworld because it was like a theme park of sliding down rocks on your butt, scrambling over rocks, climbing the “elevador” a bunch of rebar steps on the side of a sheer rock face, and mounting the “cavalinho” a fallen rock that I later learned is really on the side of a sheer drop off O___O Day 3 is an easy zigzag stroll down through a tropical forest. Abrigos are warm and cozy, beautiful trail even with clouds and little views. Physically demanding but super fun and rewarding. Loved it!!

Well maintained trail. Easy to moderate. Too rainy and foggy when we went to enjoy the viewpoints but beautiful forest still.

Beautiful location , but this is not a hike , it is more of a stroll . Kid-friendly but not jogger -friendly . Running is strictly forbidden after 8 or 9 am and they will enforce that.

Pas de difficulté majeure, la faune est sympa et le graal est atteint une fois arrivé sur la plage.

Good trail, easy underfoot along a rocky service road. Would say it is actually moderate rather than difficult in comparison to other rated AllTrails. Took 1h 50m each direction at a good pace. Not much by the way of views enroute, but you are rewarded on arrival at Dois Rios! The ocean was quite rough when we visited so didn’t manage to take a dip! Would recommend.

HikingNo shade

Not really a trail, it’s just the sidewalk along the beach except for the eastern end where you climb the rock. Excellent views from Arpeador. Lots pf places along the way to purchase a drink.

Nice trail with great views of Atibaia and surrounding regions. Rugged with little shade, especially after fires this past week. Trails are not marked, but there are great boulders and a cool stream halfway up. Best for hikers age 8 and up. Bring lots of water as you are exposed for nearly the entire hike.

Hiking

The trail is completely paved and has a steep inclination towards the end. It should be appropriate for everybody, including kids (since it is paved). You arrive at a spot with a beautiful view of the city. Parking space is limited, so you should plan to arrive early or get an uber. You need to pay a small entrance fee and the whole trail is super safe.

Great trail not super steep and absolutely worth it, there are also boat options for those who don’t want to hike. Be careful after intensive rain as it might be slippery.

If you are going to call this Beaches of Rio, you should include the two most populars: Copacabana and Ipanema.

According to https://www.halfwayanywhere.com/hikes/brazil-hikes/hiking-morro-da-urca/ the hike up Urca Hill is not difficult, but https://www.halfwayanywhere.com/hikes/brazil-hikes/hiking-pao-de-acucar-sugarloaf-mountain/ says that the hike up Sugarloaf Mountain indicated on the trail map should carry this warning: "This track is generally considered a climb and not a hike. There is a fair amount of scrambling up exposed rock faces (you slip and fall, you die) and a section of trail that requires you to climb a 20 meter vertical section of rock (Costão do Pão de Açúcar). Most people use ropes and climbing gear to reach the summit (you probably should too)." So this loop should not be labelled EASY. If you don't have gear, probably it is best to climb Urca Hill and to take the cable car from there up to Sugarloaf and back (about half price, since you won't need to take the first cable car from the base up to Urca Hill).

This trail has unique sandstone formations carved by nature. It allows you to take a closer look at large craters with exuberant vegetation, groundwater and beautiful rock formations with varying contours.

One of the hidden gems in Parana State in Brazil, the Guartelá Canyon seem to be only known by locals. There are a couple of different trails, but the most challenging ones require a guide (for reasons that no one could explain). The easy trail is worthwhile your time though and the canyon is more impressive that pictures can tell.

Walking

The walk is very easy, you get the best views of the falls from the Brazilian side. I would highly recommend that you take the extra day to go. Even the “Title Profile Photo” of “Lguazu Falls from Argentinian Side” was taken from the Brazilian side. This side has great views of the water coming over the falls.

I also did the hike to Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado leaving from tijuca. It is very steep and there is not a lot of information to be found online. It is possible to hike the same way down and save purchasing the train ticket down, although the people selling tickets to christ the redeemer will try to tell you otherwise. There is no better way to see Christ the Redeemer!

I actually hiked the trail that leads to the Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) of Corcovado but I can't find it on this app. Anyhow, very challenging trail including rock climbing and hanging onto root systems to pull yourself up. The monkeys kept us company! Glad though they weren't mean and I didn't encounter a giant snake in my path!
