La Isla del Sol (The Island of the Sun) is surrounded by Lake Titicaca and was formerly a sanctuary with an Inca temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun god. In it there are several archaeological sites, among which the "Sacred Rock" (which according to the chronicles was the birthplace of the Inca Empire), the Labyrinth or Chinkana, the Yumani stairs and the archaeological museum of Challapampa. The island is traversed from north to south by trails that combine the particular landscape of the coastal area with panoramic views of Lake Titicaca along with ruins and ancient buildings that makes it difficult to not get immersed in the mysticism attributed to it.Show more

Cerro El Calvario is a huge hill on the shores of Lake Titicaca, in the middle of the paradisiac city of Copacabana, whose top offers unsurpassed views of both the city and its beaches as well as the lake itself, Isla del Sol and even part of the chain mountainous of the Andes. The sunsets there are completely stunning! It is a climb that is not considered difficult but for some people it may be difficult due to the elevation and that it has some steps, however, it can be done by taking breaks to rest.Show more

This short and rocky trail leads to La Horca del Inca, also known as Pachataka, an archaeological site that is located on top of Cerro Kesanani located in the city of Copacabana, and that formerly operated as an astronomical observatory. Its name in Aymara language means "place where time is measured" and it was used to determine the seasons, lunar movements and predict eclipses. In addition to visiting the stone structures that made up the observatory, you can get pleasant views of the city and Lake Titicaca.Show more
