Not from the Bavarian, but from the Austrian side you look constantly on this tour on the western flank of the Zugspitze. The tour starts at the valley station of the Grubigsteinbahn and runs first through the village, then soon on the Auffahrtsweg direction Grubigstein hut turn. Here we first crank up to the Grubigalm. The descent on the actual Blindseetrail starts behind the Grubigalm. Here we go first flowig, with small counter increases going on, until the single trail turns steeper down the mountain. Loose rock awaits here, rocky heights and narrower curves, which never degenerate into hard-to-reach switchbacks. The underground is reminiscent of the many loose boulders almost to the trails on Lake Garda. The downhill fun can be interrupted again and again in places that offer a great view of the below us Blindsee and over to Fernpass. At the end, a special treat awaits you, a ride through a small stream. Then we reach a forest road, which we left and then quickly left again on a small trail. This trail leads over thick roots down to Blindsee. We follow the shore path until we almost turn left at the end of the lake and fortunately do not have to push the bike far up the hill. Now it is, after a renewed small root trail, on forest roads and the road back to the starting point to Lermoos.Show more
