#2 - Postalm Via Feratta
Strobl, Salzburg, AustriaLength: 6.7 mi
Opened in 2006, the Via Ferrata in the Postalm-Klamm leads through the wildest gorge in this area up the Rußbach, up to the Hochplatau of the Almgebietes. The level of difficulty is on the scale A to E scale C or D. From the Strobler toll the Postalmstraße go towards Simon hut and on a forest road about 1.2 kilometers to the Anseilplatz. After a short march through the mountain forest you immediately come to a suspension bridge about 15 meters long over the Rußbach. Now you always follow the taut safety wire rope into the gorge. On rock stretcher and steel pins, it's now the cannion-like gorge up. On rope bridges you change from one to the other rock wall side until you come to the so-called "Gattsprung". The picture says more than written words! Next you go out of the gorge a beautiful rock passage up to a small section with "Gehgelände" to the Gamsleckwand. (Difficulty D) after this technically and scenically impressive section is followed by a small passage with two wire rope bridges which one also with "Slackline" Technology can commit. For me, this climb through the Postalmklamm, almost a high wire park is the same, very successful with a high "fun factor", However, so I think all those who want to enjoy this climbing system should be at least 160cm tall. Likewise, it is natural to commit him only with complete via ferrata safety equipment, and to consume them conscientiously. I found the tour in GPS-Tour.info and posted it here. So it's not mine. Will do the tour but in the next few days, so here set for all.
