The Vorderkaserklamm is a natural gorge close to Oberweissbach in Austria. The Klamm can be entered half way up the trail from the base of the mountain. The hike leads along the Schidergraben where you can bathe surrounded by a lovely mountain landscape and is relatively flat until you reach the base of the gorge. There is a small cafe with some local food and gift shop at the base, where you can buy tickets to enter the Klamm. Show more

Length: 3.7 mi • Est. 2 h 25 m
This route leads to the four highest peaks of the hiking paradise Zauchensee. It goes to the Gamskogel, the Arche, the Tagweideck and the Schwarzkopf. From there you have wonderful views of the surrounding area of Niedere Tauern, Hohe Tauern, the Tennengebirge and Radstädter Tauern. From mid-June to mid-September you can take the 6-seater Gamskogel I chairlift to the Gamskogelhütte at an altitude of almost 1,900m. This is open during the same period and invites you to stop. It is also the starting point for the 4.5 hour long 4-peak tour. The route can be hiked in either direction. To "warm up" it is advisable to go towards the ark first.Show more

Length: 3 mi • Est. 2 h 26 m
Gaisberg features many steep switchbacks snaking their way up the mountain. There is plenty of shade, and even some benches on the way up. From the bottom of the trailhead, expect about 2 hours to the peak. On a clear day, the views are gorgeous! There are several restaurants at the top and the 151 bus stops quite often at the top. Tickets are roughly 3.50 for the ride back down. Show more

The route begins at the parking lot on the Berchtesgadener Ache. Surrounded by illuminated beech forest, you climb up quickly. Slightly lower down, the creek ditch and the hole ditch with pools and waterfalls follow the route. From about halfway along the route, the trees become fewer, the shade diminishes and the views better. Soon you pass the Toni-Lenz-Hütte, where you can take a refreshing break. Then it goes on to the summit.Show more

A demanding but very worthwhile hike that leads to Fuchs' local mountain. At the summit you will be rewarded with magnificent views of the lakes of the Salzkammergut. If you don't want to go the circular route, you can also go back the same way, because you have ascended. The hike starts at the parking lot of the forester's house in Wartenfels. First you hike uphill through the forest to the Wartenfels ruins, where you already have a wonderful view of the Fuschlsee and the Salzburg region. Up to this point the route is also suitable for children. Afterwards the path becomes more difficult, although some short places are secured with ropes and equipped with iron steps.Show more
