nice and easy hike with views

Great hike up. Went past arlzer arm for a less steep incline although if you want to save time the straight steep route up would be the fastest. Keep it mind it gets very very steep but so worth it. Amazing views at the top!!

Fantastic walk and a great day-trip from Vienna... we walked all the way up from the Puchberg am Schneeberg; we should have taken the train so we had more time at the top!

This trail offers great 360-degree views of the Wilde Kaiser, the Kitzbüheler Horn and other surrounding mountains. If you don't want to ascend to the trailhead on foot (which is a 726m/2380ft elevation gain), you can also take the Hartkaiserbahn gondola to the summit station (return ticket is 21€).
The trail is partially shaded and offers also a chance to see some wildlife (we saw a family of marmots).

This is a tough (steep) but rewarding trail with beautiful views. Great restaurant at the top for beers and food. Nice run down, or easy to jump on the cable car back if you fancy an easy finish.

This is one of the very few real hikes in the area surrounding Vienna (which is a very flat area overall). It's an easy hike with almost no challenges, except a few steeper sections. Most of the trail is actually paved (and the first third is on a street). There aren't too many people hiking up there, but on the top it is extremely crowded - Kahlenberg is known as the best place to see Vienna from the top, which is why many people drive up. So while I only saw about 10-15 people on the way up, there were about 250 people on the top (there was also a wedding). The view, however, is indeed great, and worth the hike.
