Went with my family (includes a 3 year old), we loved the track and the heritage behind it. Lovely track, beautiful forestry. We left unsatisfied as it was too short, went and checked out Serpy dam as well for more bush tracks.

Good trail if you want to get off the beaten track!
Does not appear to be a well-hiked route.
Also good if you’re after a decent, but not difficult, hill climb.
Make sure you have a fully charged phone to use the GPS on the app - I got quite lost and there’s no one else around, no signage or obvious paths to follow along some sections. At least it’s open country and easy to navigate. At the top of the hill I couldn’t find the trail to make my way down, even with the GPS, but was able to make my way back by heading in a general downward direction following a zigzagging path. I could see the river / rail line from above and eventually made it to pilgrims trail which leads back to the car park.

ok

ok. but ibis overwhelm the park

Nice nature walk lots of birds/water birds fish and reptiles. Was a tough long walk in the baking heat but worth it.
(Careful of the tiger snakes)

Lovely peaceful walk with lots of birds and even reptiles to be seen

Rode south on the Wadandi Track section of Rails to Trails from Cowaramup (just behind SES on Miamup Rd) to Carters Rd Trail Head just before Margaret River town. Distance is approx 12kms. Gradient is near flat, easy and surface overall is not too slippery. Trip took about 50 mins with with 6yr old and 7 & a 1/2 on 3 speed bikes and a couple stops but at a fairly casual pace, who lasted the distance without asking “are we there yet”. Trip without kids in about approx 35-40mins depending on your pace.

Interesting track, more of a "choose your own adventure" at the moment but still a good little scenic workout. would love to see it in the wet months when it's green and the rivulets are flowing. If you're not confident without a map, directions and clearly defined paths take someone with you

yanchep end the first 7 km is the most scenic after that dont bother

Nice walk with plenty of wild flowers in bloom due to a cool November.

love this trail. done it many times. 2hr 35 mins from john forest car park. about 40 mins extra if you park by tunnel in swan view. great peaceful hike with beautiful spots. ive done it in pouring rain and walked through gushing water running down the trail paths and it was still beautiful. if you do it in winter with heavy rain just fallen bear this in mind and also about 7km in the track will be under water so you have to jump over a waterfall which is easy. wild flowers are beautiful in sept.

Stunning in October - fun hike

It was fun.

fantastic walk, especially in Sept for wildflowers

It rained on and off but the rain made it was the forest even more beautiful. Decent amount of single track and the views from the platforms on either side of the Weir were great

Very steep climb at the beginning but well worth it with amazing views at the top. Signage is very poor. The phone app is a must if you want to stay on the trail.

Fantastic walk with great views over Perth, all the creeks where flowing, wild flowers in abundance and varied bush scenery.
Pretty much had it all.

Good hike with amazing views. However beware of snakes.

Really nice trail with views of Mundaring weir. Some hills but not too difficult.

Awesome weather for a change.

The path along the river is well travlled, the views of the flowing water and the wildflowers and not to forget the kangaroos, make it a beautiful path.

Great Walk! Amazing wild flowers this time of the year in August as well as wild life, especially birds! Easy trail. Loved the spots where you could actually sit down, take a break & enjoy your surroundings!

Good walk clear route challenging in areas for kids

Beautiful scenery very busy at the start but once we’d walked about 1km we hardly saw anyone as most people just seem to stay near the carparks next to the river. Signage is almost non-existent so having your phone to check navigation is a must.
