Beautiful local walk

Great circuit around the city! Southbank to Docklands could get packed and dodging tourists is a big test of patience.

This is a regular track I do most weeks for fitness. I usually carrying weight 10-15kg as part of my training. The weight makes it more challenging than it already is. Best time without weight was 23:52 mins to the top. With weight about 35-45 mins. Great views at the top and so much quieter than the thousand stairs

Tracks are not well marked and vary from wide well formed tracks to very (very!) narrow and overgrown trails. Need moderate fitness and stable footwear/knees for all the downhill

Lovely views along the coast; a good workout with the hills but not overly difficult. Love the general store at Kilcunda for a lunch stop. Have to return the same route which is the only shame.

Check where you are regularly as tracks are not marked well . Some steep sections and watch out for mountain bikes on the smaller trails. Need moderate fitness. We managed to see two lyrebirds, black wallaby and plenty of birds. Good footwear required.

Was a really good hike. Sand and dirt. Beautiful views throughout of the hills, the woods and the ocean. The beach is a must stop by, pretty heavy waves so be careful.

quite a boring trail. good for a walk with kids i guess. and possibly good on a bike.. whole track is tarmac path.

nice walk. easy enough to complete to low fitness levels. sandy roads are well maintained. last quater of the walk will be difficult during high tides. plan to walk through at low tides.
and bring bug spray if walking through summer months.. march flies are a real pain!

Hiked This amazing trail 9th Jan through bush up rocky paths . The views are 360

We did this in reverse, starting at Point Lonsdale. A gorgeous extremely well marked walk. Ashphalt for 2/3 of the way from the Point Lonsdale end and beach for remainder of walk to the Queensliff lighthouse. The width of the track is great for walking with a group of 3-4 friends. If you have prams or little ones with bikes, it's great for walking the asphalt bit without getting in the way of other walkers/riders. There's also an impressive playground close to the Point Lonsdale end that has shops nearby to grab a coffee and bite to eat.

Moderate-Hard trail. Very steep incline and declines occasionally, but beautiful trail. Viewing point at the top has a great view.

Heavy traffic . Parking was hard with vehicles parked on both sides of road.very popular spot .best to start early to beat the rush . Views are amazing

Best to start early and bring plenty of water . The views are amazing .

there is a good booklet for the walk for about A$15 that you can buy in Apollo Bay which shows the low tide options if you want to explore some of the beaches and rock platforms. Most of this walk is fantastic but there are a couple of boring bits too that go inland on dirt roads. Great that you see so few people until you get close to The 12 Apostles. If you don't want to camp there is a local company called Walk91 who will transport you off and on the track. Would recommend 6 days but we did it in 5 days. It is very doable in 5 days but felt that there wasn't enough time to explore on two days or rest over lunch.

Not a very interesting trail. I prefer a bit more of a bushwalk.

Great walk. Beautiful scenery and history.

.Awesome walk except for crowds don't even think about doing it weekends if you're fit doing it 2 or 3 times is a good work out

Amazing hike with absolutely wonderful beach views. We took 2 hours or something to complete it. If you dont mind driving there from Melbourne, its worth it. Very less traffic on the hike. Make sure its low tide so that you can complete all of the trek along the coast.

Really good walk, beautiful views and doable for all.

The best and the toughest one, such a beautiful view over the Halls Gap and surroundings.

Worth the effort, not too difficult but very lonely no one else on the track.

Definitely some challenging spots but it was really good, unfortunately I went when it was 40 degrees! Hint: ration your water.. took me approximately 3.5 hours to complete and I ran out of water lol 2-3 litres should be enough. Some really great view points as well!

Worth the effort beautiful views.
