The walks starts at Howman's Gap, descending down the Junction Spur Track, almost to the Bogong High Plains Road. It then does a sharp right turn to pick up the Mt Arthur Fire Track that descends further to the Rocky Creek. Wet feet or a rock scramble across the creek, then a long slow climb contouring around the mountainside.
