I did this trail to Wilpena Pound lookout in 2012 when we used to live in Adelaide. South Australia is WILD and I miss it!

this is definitely a moderate walk and there are some climbs towards the end, for those nervous of walking along an edge you may need to pluck up the courage for 20m or so. the views from the saddle are breathtaking

First river crossing was shallow but quick moving, second river before the loop on the map is too deep to cross with no other way around unfortunately, Very nice scenery during though !

Great trail, would say it was medium difficulty, some sandy areas and steep rocks around the coastal section. I completed it at a reasonable pace in just over 2 hours

This isn’t “moderate” at all. The trail is basically a 4WD track and apart from some steep incline here and there, it’s an easy Sunday morning walk. Leave your trekking poles at home for this one.

Did this walk after some winter rain, when the river was up. The gorge is looking great, and its a fine walk. As the water was up, parts of the river were over trail sections, meaning it was slow going and there was a requirement to scramble across steep rock faces along areas of the gorge if you were not to get pretty wet. Not for faint hearted, the more elderly or those without reasonable fitness when it is wet - and you should leave enough time (say 2.5hr) for those slower climb across patches if there are wet conditions with the raised river.

A very easy walk with beautiful nature scenery. Bound to spot a few koalas and a kangaroo from time to time. Very heavily trafficked

Rocky

A rather rocky to start track, poor signage. Easy to walk once you pass the rocky part.

Nice, tranquil spot with varying terrain. Steep at times. Kangaroos and chirping birds can be spotted.

Great walking track with some steep slopes. Good workout. Mostly wide track. Highly recommend it.

nice trail, would rate it closer to easy than moderate. Easy path all the way, reasonable inclines, but nothing technical. Safe enough with small kids, but distance may be the only hurdle for little ones. Spotted some koalas, roos along the way. Beautiful views of the city all the way to the coast. Good for running, walking, mountain bikes. 6/10 on my books.

Great hike! Allow plenty of time. It took us about 10.5 hours to complete. Left Seacliff at 9:30 and was dark by the time we left Belair NP. Reached the summit at 8pm. A bit stiff and sore afterwards, but well worth it.

Beautiful walk. Discovered some beautiful tracks I didn't know. But we had to rake shoes and socks off twice to wade through rushing winter creeks. Not for the daint hearted! Would be safer at a different time of the year.

Stunning views of the southern ocean and diverse landscape. If you want to catch that amazing view of the cliffs which is on the sign, expect to continue East on the heysen trail for some kilometres.
