Walked North-South and stopped halfway at the botanic gardens and backtracked back to my car which was 14k and took approx 3 1/2 hours. Great place to stop for lunch! Nice fairly secluded trail, not overly difficult but some moderate hills and fairly shaded. Some sections near the summit have been controlled burned so are lacking in a little shade and greenery at the moment.

This trail starts at Bridgewater and follows the Heysen Trail (Section 12) along the Bridgewater water course before following the South Eastern Freeway underpass. The trail continues through Mount Lofty Golf course and through the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens. The trail the traverses along the western ridge of the Mount Lofty Rangers past Mount Lofty Summit before ending at Sprigg Road, Cleland Conservation Park where there is off road car parking for two to three cars. The trail passes rivers, Stately homes and gardens and native bushland.

easy to find from the car park, nice views, signs must have been updated as they were easy to follow. a few big hills, and narrow paths, one crosses over a creek not sure what access would be like after heavy rain.

Beautiful trail easy terrain but some uphill

This trail was incredible and at no point was I bored. In the beginning I did underestimate it and by the end I wanted to do it again and probably will.

the route uphill was rocky and not very clearly marked. the views from the top were breathtaking though, so totally worth it.

It was a great walk but as the description says the signage isn't the best.

I’ve done this keg of the Heyson trail and I loved it!! Camped at Yanyana Hut the first night after walking from Wilpena and Aroona Ruins the second night. The last day was Aroona Ruins to parachilana gorge and got a ride into Parachilna. A great time!

Nice walk, lots of birds.
