one of the trails marked on the map doesn't really exist. all in all an excellent trail with mesmerising views.

Tried to do this walk with my dog but had to abandon it...too many rocky sections...not sure little kids could do this. Instead we went up Spring Gully Track and fown De Rose...still nice.

Lake itself is beautiful but the loop is along side the busy road around it

We walked clockwise to the waterfall and back. With an 8 and 10 yr old. Steep but worth it. Saw our first snake on the way out.

Great walk , loved the grass trees , and the Roos and birds

I really recommend this trail. Beautiful spring flowers and very fun to walk. Make sure you have good shoes on as it is quite rocky with some larger rocks to clamber over. Long and relatively steep fire track if you go clockwise. Dappled shade throughout.

great trail for all hikers and runners. Some great ups and downhills.

Great trail in spring for an abundance of orchids and wildlife.

This trail starts at Bridgewater and follows the Heysen Trail (Section 12) along the Bridgewater water course before following the South Eastern Freeway underpass. The trail continues through Mount Lofty Golf course and through the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens. The trail the traverses along the western ridge of the Mount Lofty Rangers past Mount Lofty Summit before ending at Sprigg Road, Cleland Conservation Park where there is off road car parking for two to three cars. The trail passes rivers, Stately homes and gardens and native bushland.

I wouldn't call this hike 'moderate'. Compared to a lot of hikes I have completed, this is hard. The quite narrow walk up towards the waterfall is overgrown, has a few inclines, and a lot of rocky path. The upper part of the walk had three of us, close to 'rock climbing', on reasonably steep waterfall rocks. Quite slippery in parts. This is not a trail that I will use frequently, due to lack of maintenance and steep rocky incline, for quite a way.

Bloody tough, but rewarding

Rather like this particular trek. Great entry level.

Hard work

trail was easy. saw a clumsy emu, a brown snake and a skink

We did this with 4 small kids on the weekend. Was beautiful. The uphill at the end was hard though. Watch out for ants just before Cobbler Hill.

Very scenic and great hike. Would rate it as moderate as it has very steep areas. Has some river crossings which can be crossed after rainfall, however your shoes will get wet. Avoided the areas that had a hazard warning on the maps at the carparks by looping back to the start via the Marri trail
