Great walk through pine plantations and some eucalyptus woodlands! Some of the pine had been cut down, making some of the trail unshaded - sad to see the fate of the remaining pine! Cute little teepees made from the sticks - great for kids

It was a good trail but the weather wasnt the best unfortunately mist covered the view, my legs are in bits but could be because of the new boots. Definitely do the outside trail up to the saddle and down the inside trail in that order. Happy hiking

Love the views of the gorge! Would recommend wearing a good pair of boots with ankle support though, as it’s really rocky

I did this trail to Wilpena Pound lookout in 2012 when we used to live in Adelaide. South Australia is WILD and I miss it!

this is definitely a moderate walk and there are some climbs towards the end, for those nervous of walking along an edge you may need to pluck up the courage for 20m or so. the views from the saddle are breathtaking

This isn’t “moderate” at all. The trail is basically a 4WD track and apart from some steep incline here and there, it’s an easy Sunday morning walk. Leave your trekking poles at home for this one.

Excellent trail and beautiful views. Great waterfalls. Some challenging slopes and a good workout

Highly recommend to go uphill rather then to come down this track. Has some very steep sections and can be sleepery when wet

Great walking track with some steep slopes. Good workout. Mostly wide track. Highly recommend it.

It's a tough circuit in spots and I agree with other reviewers to take the right path at the loop junction as it would be difficult going down the waterfall boulders. Some beautiful views of the city and valleys, and the history of the area is on show. We walked in winter and some beautiful native flowers where on show.

Nice little hike, would be best after a massive rain fall so the waterfalls are worth seeing

Really great hike. We didn’t complete the whole thing. However having Alltrails proved really useful as there are many trails to take in there that could get you lost. Take some waterproof shoes or shoes you don’t mind getting wet. Take sometime to enjoy it also.

Make sure you pack plenty of food and leave early unless you want to be hiking in the dark. Reccomend conditioning beforehand so you arent gassed 30 k in. Hardest incline is at black hill. Good views, plenty of animals.

Great trail, but definitely not what I would class as easy. Wide trails, with lots of rocks, slippery after rains and steep climbs to start with. Class as a moderate hike at least. Sensational views, and also quite busy, great after rains with waterfalls and creeks running

Unfortunately we had to turn back at the 10km mark as the creek was flowing so strongly that there was no way across. Maybe don’t go the day after we have had heavy rain. Had to hike 3km back to Trig campsite and hitch hike a lift back to our car!

Great trail, highly recomended if you are after long, quiet and stunning contact with nature. There were two somewhat difficult parts, one where you have to climb about 4 meters and a rocky pending finishing in a waterhole (if you slipped you’d get wet), both no dangerous at all, just a bit complicated. All rest was amazing! :)
