A great Trail any time of year. Around Sugarloaf Hill can be a bit treacherous in wet weather with a steep drop on the north-east side.

Great trail with the mixture of tracks. Riders enjoy the beauty and fresh air.

A sandy trail (in summer) with the occasional views & plenty of native fauna to marvel at!

Had a great walk today. Amazing breeze and not over crowded.

Extremely beautiful landscape. Great hike!

Walked North-South and stopped halfway at the botanic gardens and backtracked back to my car which was 14k and took approx 3 1/2 hours. Great place to stop for lunch! Nice fairly secluded trail, not overly difficult but some moderate hills and fairly shaded. Some sections near the summit have been controlled burned so are lacking in a little shade and greenery at the moment.

great trail for all hikers and runners. Some great ups and downhills.

This trail starts at Bridgewater and follows the Heysen Trail (Section 12) along the Bridgewater water course before following the South Eastern Freeway underpass. The trail continues through Mount Lofty Golf course and through the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens. The trail the traverses along the western ridge of the Mount Lofty Rangers past Mount Lofty Summit before ending at Sprigg Road, Cleland Conservation Park where there is off road car parking for two to three cars. The trail passes rivers, Stately homes and gardens and native bushland.

I wouldn't call this hike 'moderate'. Compared to a lot of hikes I have completed, this is hard. The quite narrow walk up towards the waterfall is overgrown, has a few inclines, and a lot of rocky path. The upper part of the walk had three of us, close to 'rock climbing', on reasonably steep waterfall rocks. Quite slippery in parts. This is not a trail that I will use frequently, due to lack of maintenance and steep rocky incline, for quite a way.

Bloody tough, but rewarding

You can have amazing views and a bit challenging walking at this trail. The most adventurous part was climbing upward along the dry waterfall path, steep and rocky. Suggest that starts the trail earlier just incase gets lost in the forest.

Well maintained trail head, moderate foot traffic but so many options in trails that once you get moving ppl become more scarce. Awesome photo shots especially if you take small detours off the trail. Pack a lunch and a blanket because there are so many spots that you can have a great lunch date with some one special.

Great little side hike whilst coming through on the Heysen Trail: Section 9. Only adds an estimated 1 km to the over all hike. Doe's give a good leg and lung work out thou!. Great views from the narrow ridge at the summit.

Good fun, haven’t hiked in a while. But the end it was worth it, this site is underrated.
