Beautiful views along the ridge across the gulf. Some steep sections. Lovely creek flowing at the bottom of the gully.

Very rocky through the gorge and at some points can be quite slippery. Wear some good shoes/hiking boots.

It was a good trail but the weather wasnt the best unfortunately mist covered the view, my legs are in bits but could be because of the new boots. Definitely do the outside trail up to the saddle and down the inside trail in that order. Happy hiking

I did this trail to Wilpena Pound lookout in 2012 when we used to live in Adelaide. South Australia is WILD and I miss it!

this is definitely a moderate walk and there are some climbs towards the end, for those nervous of walking along an edge you may need to pluck up the courage for 20m or so. the views from the saddle are breathtaking

Great hike! Allow plenty of time. It took us about 10.5 hours to complete. Left Seacliff at 9:30 and was dark by the time we left Belair NP. Reached the summit at 8pm. A bit stiff and sore afterwards, but well worth it.

This was a return hike from Tunk Head Road to Boat Harbor Beach for me. Hard as!!! The Hill on the eastern end of Tunkalilla Beach was insane!!! Steep, slippery and thank God for that fence.. glad it's over actually. Beautiful coastline and countryside though.

Unfortunately we had to turn back at the 10km mark as the creek was flowing so strongly that there was no way across. Maybe don’t go the day after we have had heavy rain. Had to hike 3km back to Trig campsite and hitch hike a lift back to our car!

Walked in wind, rain, hail and sunshine - 2 massive beach/creek crossings, beach walk was near impossible during high tide in parts - gorgeous walk but slippery in rain

Great trail, highly recomended if you are after long, quiet and stunning contact with nature. There were two somewhat difficult parts, one where you have to climb about 4 meters and a rocky pending finishing in a waterhole (if you slipped you’d get wet), both no dangerous at all, just a bit complicated. All rest was amazing! :)

This is my favourite SA hike so far the hike was fun, mostly level and had lots of great obstacles to manoeuvre like the rocky creek, fallen trees and collapsed cliff faces. 10/10 best hike We camped in a beautiful spot in the gorge and the cliff faces protected us from the wind and we fell asleep to the beautiful echoes of the creek near by. We saw a small group of rock wallaby’s and a pair or emus.

Fantastic hike! Takes best part of the day so be prepared! Would suggest starting from Wilpena trailhead and going in a clockwise direction as the gradient up through the pound is a bit kinder than coming up the direct route. Fantastic views inside the pound and from St Mary’s Peak. Last 2km to the peak involves a lot of rock scrambling but is very worth it for the view

Best trail yet ! I recommend leaving at lunch time so you get the afternoon sun and then can pop to pub in Tanunda for a pint post walk. Lots of beautiful scenery and nice and easy mostly downhill.

Great diverse trail, mountains, streams, sand, rocks. Fairly moderate, we went on a super windy day and at times were scared that we would fall. We were lucky to see seals and dolphins playing in the huge waves from the cliff, about 10kms in. Beautiful scenery, love the SA coast, it’s magical.
