Rode south on the Wadandi Track section of Rails to Trails from Cowaramup (just behind SES on Miamup Rd) to Carters Rd Trail Head just before Margaret River town. Distance is approx 12kms. Gradient is near flat, easy and surface overall is not too slippery. Trip took about 50 mins with with 6yr old and 7 & a 1/2 on 3 speed bikes and a couple stops but at a fairly casual pace, who lasted the distance without asking “are we there yet”. Trip without kids in about approx 35-40mins depending on your pace.

Flat trail with plenty of shade. The end near crossover bridge is less maintained/travelled.

good trail with kids

Peaceful, relaxing and cruisy walk.very safe for our furry friend.

Really great track, nice views and clearly marked tracks. I’m really unfit and this is the first exercise I’ve done in a long time, so I did struggle a little, but I managed.

Great track for novice mountain biker age 9, few walkers to navigate and a couple of bridge diversions to scramble round. We'll definitely do this one again. Trentham is lovely for a slow walk and lunch after the exertions.

Beautiful easy little trail to do in the peak of winter! In summer you don't even realise you are following a lovely river. in winter you hear the water running!

Not a bad track pretty easy to walk just a very slight incline almost flat nice long basic walk path has a good surface of rock down, so it's only muddy in a couple of detours off the main track due to bridges being out of order.
Don't forget to check out the old Trentham railway station while you are there since it's right behind you at the starting point.

Easy Walk. Gravel most of the distance with some parts dirt. Not steep. Nice views of the hills and valleys but none of the coast. Starts near the mobile tower at Merricks Store end and ends opposite Pt Leo road stores.

Glad I found this trail - perfect for young kids (starting at Belmont, there is a long, but gradual uphill section - but coming back is easy). Cafe near the end, and a few beaches are in relatively easy reach of the track. We had a swim at Nine Mile Beach on the way back. Rail tunnel is lots of fun!
