Awesome trail!! so many incredible waterfalls and bustling wildlife! the luscious dense rainforest is just something from the imagination and every few meters you are inspired even more by the beauty you are seeing! stopped at the picnic area down the bottom to have lunch, walked up the river bed a bit and found some nicer swimming holes where I could swim freely. track took 4 hours of actual walking return. highly recommend this trail !!! my phone said 13km at the end.

Great hike. Not sure on distance signs say 17km. Garmin says 15km. Will go again for sure!

It gets weird at the dam wall but otherwise a very nice walk. You have to go into The Gaps' back streets. The walkabout info centre has a paper with directions you can have.

love this place!! the way back is tiring as there are incline bits, but overall its a great walk. we went swimming in the waterfall pool, it was great!! :) ..the cafe nearby 'the edge restaurant' has spectacular views before or after this walk

Some steep hills, otherwise ok

Good trail. Nice and steep at the end for a good leg stretch. Lots of walkers and mountain bike riders on the weekend.

well maintained paved footpath, lots of good lookouts, path suitable for young children and prams,2 set of short steps on last lookout

short well maintained paved walk and board walk to look at some of the more scenic aspect of the upper babinda creek as it flows from the boulders swimming area. easy walk.

A great walk to the falls through the rain forest with plenty of wildlife and beautiful views.

Not much of a scenery on the way, good excersize. We did it under 5h and saw 5or6 snakes (red bellies) on the way. Airlie beach end 10km of it steep up and down hill.
Places to camp on the way.

Amazing views from above the falls. You can also swim in the river. Hike itself is a little monotonous thru the forest but the end views make it more than worth it.

A very easy but can be hot with little forestry canopy cover. Only seen the falls from the top. Would be even more spectacular to see from the bottom. Unsure of that track though.

Great hike with great views. Not too difficult and a small waterfall at the end.

Not a great track. Straight up a hill- more of a fire track then a walking track.

Classic “welcome to Mt Barney” hike for people wanting to step up from Peasents (south) ridge. New well marked trail beginning from below yellow pinch makes nav much easier.

Navagation on this ridge is difficult and good knowledge of area is needed along with usual gps/map/compass etc. The knife edge ridge is great fun and comparable to logans in degree of difficulty. Exposed and juggy scrambling. Hardest bit is downclimbing off the knife edge ridge where it ends. The knife edge ridge is at beginning of ridge not too far off the peasents (south) summit track. After the knife edge ridge that lasts for a few hundred metres the route is terrible. It becomes very scrubby and featureless with little to no track until near the top where two steep rock outcrops are found. This is where you will find the last tricky scrambling sections. Ridge tops out not too far from Old Hut site.
Actually knife edge ridge 5 star
Everything else on ridge 2 stars and hardly worth doing.

Nice walk with a great swimming spot to cool off. Would be good for all levels, a few stairs but better if you do the circuit anticlockwise.

Beautiful,lots of steps,but manageable

great views, steep hills in parts.take plenty of water

Beautiful, plenty of shade.and leeches.

nice hike.not hard

loved it.especially all those steps going up Jacksonia Trail.great for the leg muscles

great hike.nice views,Good foe fitness

Good workout hike.early morning birdsong

nice easy walk

Adrenaline rush

A great walk with lots of shade but I don't see how it's a loop. We got all the way around to the dam and were stuck. We ended up body crawling under a fence to get to another pathway. If someone knows what we missed, please do add it here!
