Explore the most popular kid friendly trails in Queensland with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

This is a great walking trail for people of all fitness levels as well as it offers beautiful views of Brisbane and the Brisbane River.

The trail is NOT dog friendly - dogs are not permitted in Tamborine National park. The fines are large so check before going as the app is misleading

Steady track and amazing views. Jump rope to swing off and bomb into an ICE COLD rock pool at the summit. Family friendly track.

Lovely spot. We got there early so we could take photos at our own pace.

We had some annoying people there who felt the need to jump the fences to get their Kodak moment, and then decided it wasn’t enough so sent the drone out. Please! You can get great photos without having to destroy the landscape and ruin it for others!

Nice hike to get a little taste of the Daintree

Great walk and surprisingly not too steep, considering the impressive views from the top.

Easy walk, nice to do at night to see the glow worms.

Beautiful easy track to hike with some nice creek crossing. Ground was damp so I would be cautious about going after rain and my GPS took me past the entrance so just look out for the signs on the turn off. Gorgeous picnic area and toilets on site.

Be prepared to walk up hill! It’s beautiful. Go to Bald rock and soak up the views while you refuel. It’s all downhill from there ;-)
We saw three Lyrebirds along the way!

Beautiful little walk with some challenging stairs and incline to get the heart rate up. Views of the headland are worth the walk up. Very popular any time of the day, suitable for all fitness levels and ages

great for families

a very easy walk. flat path.

An amazing view in an amazing place. Pretty easy hike up hill.

Very nice winter time walk, was very fresh in the rainforest, but not too cold with long pants & a light jacket on. Definitely would get muggy & uncomfortable to do in the summertime I feel. Really pleasant views & lots of interesting different trees the whole way, but the views at the top were absolutely stunning. took about an hour up & an hour down for this part of the hike, however we went on further to Bare Rock another extra 45 mins up & back & it was so worth the extra km, the view got even better!

cycled from Toombul shopping centre to Everton Park, beautiful ride, no cars to worry about!

Good basic trip to the top awesome views a good one for people wanting to see what the fuss is about

Great track! Beautiful views to the south and north. A shame that the coastal track was closed today but a great track nonetheless!

Good trail, a bit slippery at times (due to lose soil), moderate intensity, a few interesting things to see on the way to the top. Windy peak with fabulous views. Bring some snacks to share at the top, rocky surface to sit on and enjoy the scenery... ✌

Lovely walk. Not difficult in terms of skill level but is a long walk up and good to get the blood pumping. Can be done with kids. The look out is beautiful however please note you cannot actually go up to the peak as that is closed. Worth the extra 40 minutes or so to go to Bare rock as the views from there are better.

Love the walk around the headland

Great spot. Peaceful. Dog and kid friendly. Well maintained tracks. Nice spot to stop for a quick swim as well.

Fantastic easy hike with great eastern views. Well signed and a well worn trail. We went up on a winter morning and it couldn’t have been better. Blue bird day and the perfect temp. Definitely recommend this one if you’re taking someone new to hiking. The trip to Bare Rock is well worth it to see the range to the north in all its glory!

Beautiful view, would recommend going counter clockwise to avoid climbing the stairs at the end!

Venman circuit is a nice 7.5 track, well signed. Lots of trees so sun isn’t really an issue... Going anti clockwise there are a couple hills that will get the heart rate up. Would rather walk up them than down though... can be slippery with loose rocks. Should take no longer than 2 hours if walking a normal pace and stop for drinks etc.. I’m not a super fast walker and takes me around 1.5hours.

Although I have not done this exact walk I have done similar in the area. Nice enough for an urban blast.
