good place for trail running

Nice views, especially when the tide is in. Can be hot - best in early morning or evening. Regular filtered water stations. Numerous activities along the walk.

Be prepared for a few extra hills and stone water crossings. Nice easy/med walk! Picnic area is well maintained!

it's a great easy walk. one that I do often

Nice easy walk. Marked trail and swimming hole. Should definitely get the bus if you want to maximise the walk through Mossman Gorge.

Easy loop trail through Mossman Gorge, which is part of Daintree National Park. Occasional signs along the trail identify trees and suggest wildlife to look out for. We saw several colourful Australian brushturkeys and watched a little pied cormorant fishing in the river.

Was a pleasant walk. I’m not very fit and absolutely enjoyed the walk (I did have to stop a few times as it’s mostly up hill) Scenery was amazing and once you reach the top it is well worth it. Unfortunately it was very dry when we went but there was still water coming down the falls.

A very popular tourist area and walk - one can walk from the visitor centre past the aboriginal village to save $ on a small bus fee but it is encouraged to take the bus. The walk itself is lovely including a section of raised platform with info signs. The small out and back option to the NW of the circuit is definitely worth it - a beautiful little pool perfect for a dip awaits and was my highlight of the circuit.

This is not really a kid friendly track... nor is there much of a trail to follow anymore after the last cyclone. It used to be quite easy to get up and back now if you don't know where you are going it's easy to get lost as the track is pretty much non existent.

Great trail to start your hiking

This hike was the perfect shady place to take a break from the heat and go for a swim in the river! The rainforest and trees were absolutely beautiful. Easy, short hike.

Nice little Hike/Walk and very well signed. The trail to Witts Lookout is great and there is plenty of wildlife to be seen, mainly birds, marsupials and the occasional snake :). It is a rainforest walk. Ensure you bring insect repellent and water as it can get quite hot and humid during the wet season. The views of the Crystal Creek Valley and the Palm Islands group at the lookout are great. On the way back you can go to cloudy Creek for a nice refreshing swim when water is running during the wet season. It is a bit steep getting there but nothing too extreme.

Living in Townsville Qld Australia, it is easy to forget that as a local resident there is plenty to do. This trail walk is easy and does offer some great views, some excellent fishing spots, and for the most part accessible to all. Whether you are a walker, jogger or simply out for a leisure stroll there is plenty to do for kids and adults alike. The Jezzine Park path offers the fitness person plenty of stairs and steeper paths for either jogging or running with great views at the top of Cleveland Bay and Magnetic Island and the Strand and its Rockpool. The strand walk is fantastic and there is plenty to do (Walk, jog, cycle, swim etc). There are plenty of park benches and some fitness equipment as well as kid friendly parks and attractions.

I missed it/../

The trail was run with a friend. It was muddy as a result of the recent rains. The description in the guide was made based on this run

It would get another half star if we stayed for a BBQ and had brought our partners. Ooops, another star.
