Good walk. Nice views at the top in a couple of locations. Just have to walk off the main track. You can see where small tracks have been worn. Very steep in sections. 11.4 km all up. Did it in 2.5 hours at a good pace with 30 minutes stop at viewing areas. Great views of lpswich and Lake Manchester.

The starting point for this trail is about 1klm west of where it used to be, which also means you have an extra KLM to walk back to the new Start point once you have reached the finish. The trail is poorly marked and if not for a map would be easy to stray from the trail. I have walked it and honestly I wouldn't bother to do it again. It is dry and apart from a few views of Lake Manchester not that scenic. If you just want a bit of a challenge then by all means, this would probably suit you.

Fairly flat until halfway then gravelly steep slopes. Lots of sliding on the way down. Park at entrance to private property or along main road at start.

Great hike. Pretty challenging in sections. Make sure you ask permission to cross private property the owner was amazed I took the time to stop an ask, it’s just polite.

Do not try this without a GPS. As others have said, there are NO signs. There are numerous forks and cross-paths. Without GPS you can get lost easily. That said, it was a good, challenging climb. Very steep in places.

track starting point is on private property. drive further west along road and use the fire trails to connect to marked route. track coming back down from the ridge to the main road has a section that is closed for about 300m for pest control. apparently fines apply if caught inside. gorgeous views from the top of the mountain at the detour off-track along the ridge line.

Maybe I'm just weak, but I found this to be a hard trail, not moderate. take LOTS of water and be prepared for a very steep incline about 35% og the way through.

Amazing view, at the top,a tough hike. Take plenty of water, and a hat. Some hills are steep, and some surfaces are loose gravel, small rock surface, so be careful on the hills, especially descending. No signage, so a GPS or compass essential. A great hike to work those leg muscles.

When people say poorly signed what they actually mean is there are literally no signs at all. However the tracks are wide and well tended, if a little steep on one side. Definitely use GPS

Poorly signed. Would suggest beginning the walk of Light Line Rd. this is off the main road down through what appears to a driveway with a wooden fence. Take GPS or DL the map. check others comments below. Other than that, great walk!

Path well marked by tire tracks and easy to follow. We started our walk from a fenced access located on Wirrabara road heading the Marmaid Mt. Lookout. No signage, however G.Maps has it recorded for gen reference. Follow the path heading north. The road will split, we followed the Rocky Mountain High path. You re now three hours away from the lookout. enjoy the view.

Great and challenging walk but poorly signed throughout for knowledge on which way to turn when at crossroads. Highly recommend GPS for determining whereabouts / if you're still on the track as we took a road that looked well traversed but led off the track. Very, very steep in places for a few hundred metres at a time. If not poorly signed it would have earned 5 stars. To be clear, there were no trail signs!

Some of the hills were a little bit steep and slippery for me - had to do a little bit of scrambling to get to the top. Enjoyed the work out and the view at the top though. Definitely make sure you have a map as there many unmarked turns. The walk starts down a road marked "private property" and there's a sign at one of the turns saying "authorised personnel only". We were never challenged though. In fact, we only saw 2 other people in the whole 3 hours we were out there.

Some steep hills, but a good area with wide well maintained tracks
