Great challenging hike.. well we made it a little more challenging by going off the trail by mistake and climbed the rock face to the top! There is a part where it does get confusing but just remember keep going right the 360 views is one of the best I have seen!

Not difficult but good fun

The trail is amazing going through the rain forest. The view at the top is amazing. It’s not an easy trail but it’s definitely worth the effort.

Nice easy walk with changing scenery and stunning views. Slippery when wet but no steep inclines or descents. A good circuit.

great for families

This trail has beautiful views but it is not 16.6km as indicated here. The official sign at Lamington National Park states Ships Stern as 19km but my GPS said it was more than 20km. Lots of big fallen trees so be prepared to climb and pull yourself up over them. Scary bits up high on the trail but worth it for the views.

sensational walk

A very easy walk. flat trail. wonderful views in parts and the occasional wallaby. Great for anyone is any fitness level

Great walk, very challenging. Our group took 5 hours to complete the climb, awesome veiws of the area from the top worth the effort

Fantastic walk. Very challenging, but views the whole way up on a clear day. A must if you visit Cairns!

Decent 3-4 hour round trip walk with beautiful Secret Falls at the end. Thoroughly enjoyed the falls & swimming here & we had them all to ourselves. Saw a few people heading here on the way back, so the earlier the better. Better to do this one for warmer weather so you can cool off & have lunch at the falls. You may think you have gone too far & haven't reached the falls yet, but there is now a small sign on the left of the track once you hit them & you just work your way through about 5-10m of scrub to get to them.

Hiked this track with my son... took us 5hrs and 45 mins. Its one of the most amazing tracks ... it takes you past a waterfall and the climb is just as amazing as walking the bottom. When you get to the ships stern it is the most amazing sight yet!!

Loved every minute of it!!

I did this walk unexpected,
It was an amazing walk.
Absolutely beautiful when you reach the bottom. Would be a great little spot in summer.
Allow your self and hour up and down.

Really really pretty, lovely palms and plant life and the waterfall is gorgeous. Great on a sunny day

Awesome walk, beautiful weather, perfect day

Very hilly, in fact hardly any flat bits. My gps recorded the walk at 24.2 km and 1388 vertical metres. It took 6 hours 20 mins with just a couple of shorts stops. Near the turning point there are great views of Lake Manchester.

A family favourite. Good scramble up gorges with palm trees. Go up Waterfall gorge for Moogerah Dam views.

It’s was great walk, amazing view and I saw a few birds and one wallaby. We though we were getting into a bigger walk by the signs of the park saying 16 and 17 km but I think the real distance it’s what AllTrails suggest. We did it in 4 hours with a couple of short breaks.

Easy walk..ascends for a bit then descends down a fire trail before the final ascent.Lovely views of the city and the mountains of the d’agilar range national park. Heaps of steps and lose gravel. Can be done with the entire famil as well as pets.

Definitely a challenging trail if you are looking at running it, very hilly. Great scenery and awesome view from the look out about 11.5km in, its tricky to spot with no sign posting though. Will definitely do it again though.

One of our favourite walks, have done this trail many times. Gorgeous waterfalls starting with the trip down to Picnic Rock, and following the trail down to the Box Log falls. Have spotted spiney blue crashfish in the waters below the falls on many occasions. Track is well maintained, can get a little muddy closer to the lower falls

Old favourite, good little walk in Mt Tamborine, the falls themselves can be accessed without completing the entire walk, and is also suitable for kids

Nice walk with some lovely views of the two waterfalls. I agree with a previous poster, and would suggest going anti-clockwise so the falls are kept until the end.

Beautiful views of multiple waterfalls and the surrounding valley. Not too strenuous.
