Quite a challenging hike up, with several parts exposed in the sun. Great views at the top.

A slow 1.5hrs to the summit allowing time for small rest breaks. The ascent is steep and slippery in parts with some rock scrambling sections. Then lots of time exploring the top - there’s several viewpoints and plenty to explore, then a quicker descent requiring some bum shuffling down the slicker rock faces. Quite exposed the whole way so bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat! The trail is clear for the first half up, then some lovely person has marked the way with coloured material tied around tree branches so keep an eye out and it’s not hard to follow. The views from the top are breathtaking and totally worth the initial slog uphill. The picnic area has parking spaces, toilets and a few picnic tables - no drinkable water though so be prepared to be self sufficient.
