Really enjoyed this route - as did my 11 and 13yr olds. The long first climb up was a good little workout then a short slow steady scramble descent and the same up to the second peak, then an easy hike along the spur and back down. Nothing to challenging - dusty rock surfaces on the descent probably the main thing to look out for. Will do again.

A lovely morning walk, with a delightful scramble hiking up from the saddle when traversing from the slightly taller (by just 5m) West peak to the slightly smaller East peak. Both peaks of Mt Coochin provide a great view of the Glasshouse Mountains from the North.

Beautiful trail run with some scrambling between the two peaks. First climb was tough on the legs as a run, but can keep up a steady pace. Views of other Glasshouse mtn’s were amazing on an early sunny winter morning.

Double-peaked Mt Coochin is makes for a lovely morning walk. Offering a different view of the other Glasshouse Mountains and out to the coast. I find it an interesting walk, with enough variety (including some enjoyable, but relatively mild rock-scrambling when traversing between the peaks), to see how folks cope, who I've not hiked with before, but who have said they'd like to join me on some of my hiking adventures around SQ Queensland. Surrounded by homes (which one hardly notices once hiking the peak), this is a really nice walk with lovely views.

My favourite so far! The first peak is a steep hike, I find it the most challenging part. The second peak is a bit of a scramble, and so much fun. Good views. The little valley between the peaks feels like magical little creatures could live there.

Great little climb, good views and not to long if you want a morning activity. Can easily drive past the car park tho.

I really struggled to find the trail carpark. Type 2672 Old Gympie Rd into your GPS. This one is not a popular walking trail so at first I left when I was a lone female and came back with my husband. Near the start of the trail we turned right instead of left and ended up near someone's private property, so the trails need signage. Just walking up to the closest peak was exhausting enough (high and steep) but not in a bad way, we went back down the way we came instead of doing the trail loop. Beautiful views, quiet and private at the summit. Wildlife about but saw no snakes. next time I wouldnt mind spending more time at the summit.. bring some food or drinks or both. 4 stars
