loved this trail! the 'falls' were just puddles only due to lack of rain. the view at the top is spectacular! theres a cafe up the top too. I saw another trail on the other side of the mountain for next time! compared to other mountain hikes, the walk is easy! Bubblers along the way and toilets at start and finish

30 mins slow walk up the Summit along a dirt path with some stairs. Recommend parking at JC Slaughter Falls car park or close by.
Often very busy of a weekend morning, but still very enjoyable.
The Mahogany Track is longer, less scenic, but pleasant and generally follows the road up to the summit.

Good trail. Nice and steep at the end for a good leg stretch. Lots of walkers and mountain bike riders on the weekend.

Not a great track. Straight up a hill- more of a fire track then a walking track.

loved it.especially all those steps going up Jacksonia Trail.great for the leg muscles

great hike.nice views,Good foe fitness

Good workout hike.early morning birdsong

Great walk,for fitness

Definitely not hard, moderate is better explained. Really wouldn’t rate doing the loop. The bush side of things is great, apart from that if your up for a hike the rest is like wandering your neighbourhood only it’s not your neighbourhood! Paths next to roads and bike tracks isn’t hiking. Apart from, park closer and do multiple bush trails & take your app, you will need it for nav, signage is weak.

This trail takes 1hr easy pace. Lots of steps. There an probably side trail to the aboriginal circuit trail that takes an extra 20min. It's worth checking it out. If walked after a heavy rain there would be a flowing creek by the trail n waterfalls in different sections.
Nice to start from the slaughter falls picnic area. Lots of beautiful big old trees at the picnic area. Nice place to picnic.

We start our loop from slaughter falls car park toilet area 7am, up the Powerful Owl trail all the way to channel 9 area then onto High Ridge trail to summit kuta cafe 9.30, then walk down slaughter falls back to carpark toilet area. 2hrs in total. Beautiful trail. The trail go right through the middle of the mt cootha state forest to channel 9 broadcast station then trail follow the road to the summit and then down through the slaughter falls trail. It's quite a breezy trail. As most of the trail are high up.
Easy but long. Worth having a coffee break at the summit.
This is also a good running trail. Specially the high Ridge trail part.

It's a pleasant walk through the scrub to the picnic area then a climb up a dirt road mountain. App was handy to see where to go as not enough signage in places.

There's a lot of variety and lots of track hopping. Bring your phone charged to navigate your progress to which track you are on. A few tracks are unnamed especially closer to the end (I went anti clockwise).
Bring plenty of water.

The track itself is not difficult, easy to moderate, but some fitness is required.

It was a nice hike to get some exercise. Not much to see.

The start of the trail is steep and gravelly. Not all the trails allow bikes, note signage. You are rewarded by the amazing view of Brisbane city approximately at 6.5 km where public amenities, restaurant and cafe are located. One of my favourite places for time out.

You may see pied cormorant, Australasian darter, welcome swallow, purple swamp hen, dusky moorhen, Australian wood duck and dew waders! Nice walk especially in the evening! I liked it!

It was a nice, easy track. It is well signed and easy to follow. Also, very well maintained with a great view at the top!

Not a bad little hike, not many views, but a good start for o get back into it.

Good, fun, easy trail in dry conditions.

Awesome view!

a very easy walk. flat path.

cycled from Toombul shopping centre to Everton Park, beautiful ride, no cars to worry about!

It was a nice walk with a few hills to push myself.
The road part was disappointing.. Also, not many views. But overall I enjoyed it.

It’s ok, good for a stretch of the legs, no views though.

Pleasant, light walk that can be done by pretty much anybody. Lots of people with children and dogs on the trail.
Downside is the large section by the road.

Although I have not done this exact walk I have done similar in the area. Nice enough for an urban blast.

Mostly easy-moderate, only a small section is quite steep. What's interesting I think is the variety and the change of ecosystem that comes with the geography.

Nice walk with a great view and restaurant at the top.
