The views are incredible. Start of the walk was a butt/leg burner but evens out the higher you go. Bring water, sunscreen, and more water! Mostly exposed landscape so hats and sunnies also essential. The landscape is like nothing I’ve ever seen. One of my favourite hikes in the NT.

A good way to see every angle of Uluru. Definitely feels like a long walk even though it’s only 10km. Bring water as it can get quite hot during the day and water sources aren’t easily available. Quite a busy walk, not super challenging with mostly flat surfaces.

An excellent short hike only a stones throw from the heart of Alice Springs. Take the trail loop via the Todd and Charles River junction off Schwarz Crescent to Telegraph Station. Dingoes, rock wallabies, distinct river ghost-gums spilling out of ancient cinnamon toned rocks. A fantastic walk full of splendour not to be missed.

This is definitely a bang for buck hike. What if lacks in distance it makes up for in intensity and views. A well worth short hike to get the heart pumping.

Such a great little hike. A little harder at the end with some scurrying up rocks, but an amazing end result with beautiful views of the Mac Ranges and little old Alice!

Awesome trail. Quite a bit of a climb at the top. Some may find it a bit scary. Best to do early and take your fly-net!!!

This trail was quite the undertaking for me and my girlfriend. We started it from Alice Springs on August 18th. We completed it on August 31st (a day earlier then planned, but we had to rush because a broken tent zip is quite a problem on this trail). Two major things to note in my opinion, the flies on the Larapinta was the hardest to contend with. The second thing is that you just cannot trust the water source recorders on section 9. TAKE ENOUGH WATER FOR THE ENTIRE SECTION WITH YOU. It was amazing, and I would happily do it again!

What a beautiful thing to see... but completely over shadowed by an insane amount of flies. This hike was the most insufferable of any I have done...

Love this National park! Recommend to everyone! The walk is great, but do it earlier or later in the day to avoid crowds and heat of going in summer. Some flies mind be a disturbance, bring fly protecting hats or you can purchase them at the office in the park. We stayed at campground which was very cool and with great amenities. Definitely recommend!

We only walked the first 6 stages, the rest is on the list. Makes you feel as if you are the only person in the world and are treading where no one has trod before. Loved it, though certain parts can be tough and exposed. I heard there is enough water along the way these days (we walked it 13 years ago) You may even meet other people now. Very much worth doing, but be super prepared. Lots of water, extra ration of food and it CAN and DOES sometimes rain bucket loads.

Very different from Uluru - if had to choose this would be the one.

easy but hot. Good close up views. We did a guided tour starting just before sunrise but there are signs and story boards that give same info. You need lots of water and only one toilet and water station on the loop.
