Explore the most popular Mountain Biking trails in New South Wales with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

We’re a couple in our early 30’s, fairly fit, but not used to do hiking. Found it easy to do, you’ll be on the forest most of the trail. It’s a nice one, but nothing incredible to see around. It looks pretty fun (and not to hard) for a mountain bike ride though.
There’s many walk paths so you can easily get lost on the proposed route (as we did) but you can always follow the map in the app. Even if you don’t, you won’t get truly lost anyways.
I recommend it, it’s good, but don’t expect too much neither.
Ps. It took us 1:50, having a 15 min stop. With no rush.

Hiking or biking. Cool trail with some view on the surrounding mountains, small up and down. Easy for all ages. At the end, prepare for an amazing scenery and very steep trail down along a corniche with a small jump over a gap between two rocks, quite scarry and not for all ages at all.

was extremely difficult to MTB through. some dirt tracks rest very hard and had to carry bike most of the track... wasn't fun.

beautiful for walkers and hikers

Long, wide and only a very small incline/decline all for a magnificent view! Great for all ages.

A long walk but the falls are beautiful after some rain especially. I did take the track that goes off to the right as I headed towards the hersey trail..its thick and overgrown but will get you to the falls eventually. Take the hersey trail instead. The walk to the end of Buderoo trail is just that and nothing else.

No sign posts and a lot of walking on busy road-

Nearly impossible to run, there are other routes you can take but the one outlined here isn’t necessarily ‘runable’. Nothing is marked so you have to keep your phone out to make sure you’re staying on the correct path and you’ll constantly need to stop to get through trees, ponds, etc. might be nice as a walk, just not for running!

A reasonably easy walk on a mountain bike track. I walked it and only saw one bike. There are many tracks you could take. I’m a photographer so I’ll be back in spring for the flowers and early in the day for the birds.

The first 6kms is included in the Alltrails route, but this hike looks to go another 3km, down to the river.
We only did the first 6km and found it pretty average. It's fire trail for 80% before becoming a trail. Easy walking but uneventful, with no views.
A nice walk through the bush but I don't think I'd drive out of my way to do it again.

Good trail for a run. It’s actually about 13.5km. Very steep in arts it that’s half the fun.

Thisis a great trail for new and seasoned hikers with good footing and great bush view. trail is used by mountain bikers so keep your head up

more of a track system with plenty if different routes but still good tracks

Awesome, easy and beautiful, definitely kid friendly and don’t forget your swimmers if you come out on a sunny day! Highly recommend :)

Nice easy walk which you can start anywhere along the track to add or shorten the distance you want to go.

Well kept and suitable for young kids.

Great Trail Track,

Beautiful rainforest section alongside Deep Creek then up the ridge - elevation only about 200m so not difficult. After rain, parts of the rainforest track were quite muddy & heavy with mosquitos. Lots of leeches also. There are a number of other tracks that intersect with this one & no sign posts, so keep an eye on the map at all times otherwise it’s easy to end up on other trails without realising or to go off-track as it’s not always clear to follow.

Fantastic view, at the end of the trail, will rejuvenate the weary. This is mostly flat out and back trail. Great training ground for novice trail runners or for someone looking for a flat and fast trail. Crickets are particularly loud throughout the course so if that bothers you, bring your earphones!

Great track

Great track but scary when alone

Love this trail on the e-MTB, makes the uphill as much fun as the single trail. My go to trail for new mates with e-bikes.

If you get a 9:45 train from Glenbrook you can be back at the Lapstone Hotel for a cracking lunch and a bit of banter afterwards by 12:00

This is a nice out and back MTB ride along firetrails. Nothing technical but a couple of steep hills. The view at the end of the firetrail is well worth the ride.

Good track quiet technical and a bit of everything

Rubbish dump

This is a wonderful trail, it's abundant in birdsong, and wildflowers ATM. The eastern section is presently marred by fire damage, but this is beautiful in it's own right too. A sign may say no entry, but there is no reason for it, no date, or governing body, so enjoy the trail.

I needed more signs to guide myself around. Was never sure if I was following the right track

really fun descent through forest and farmland.
