Absolutely stunning coastal trail, perfect for runners, walkers or mountain bikers seeking rolling green hills that drop dramatically into the ocean via spectacular cliff tops. If you start at the Gerringong end, you may need to take your shoes off or get the shoes a bit wet crossing the shallow water at the entrance to the Werri Beach lagoon, but once on the trail itself, it’s all smooth, compacted grass underfoot. Expect to see grazing cattle, impressive architect-designed rural estates, the occasional train emerging from or sneaking into the hillside tunnels, plenty of oversized skink lizards, and what look to be a few nice surf breaks with not a soul on them.

Majority of the southern part of the track isn’t paved but mowed grass pathways or dirt tracks made from people walking. It is well signed and paved from Kiama onwards (northern section). Great views, variety of scenery and elevations.

Just did part of it today. Trail running is good. Youll get some pavement. First tip! Ask for directions or download the trail and follow. Second tip. When at the first sandy beach you can run all the way towards the end near the rock cliffs. You want to find a trail that to the right going up to the houses. The one i found had a blue rope you could use to assist you up. Once on top you will be on a flat surface between the cliffs and houses for beautiful views. I turned around after about 3 miles 5k due to high winds and i forgot a light jacket or wind breaker. Awesome views! Will finish next time.

A great walk along the cliff tops. You are very exposed though and the weather can change rapidly.. fantastic views!
